Accept their offer, pound them into oblivion when they let get comfortable enough

Are they really in a position of power to negotiate when their first condition is "Please stop bombing us and taking out all of our leadership"?
No.
And I don't see them offering to give up anything. They just want us to stop, leave them alone, and pay for the rebuild.

Cool. We can end the charade of trying to strike a deal and just move on with regime change…. Which we all knew was the goal.

Right. These "negotiations" are less like negotiations and more like, "here's what's going to happen, retards."

They're not in a position to demand anything

Just keep killing the latest leaders until you get to one who will agree to unconditional surrender. Just like the Japs in WWII, these people don't appear to value their lives very highly.

They seem to have that now, but the problem is that the command structure has completely collapsed and large factions of the IRGC are operating on their own cut off from senior leadership. Some of them want to defect and others don't. It's a mess. And meanwhile we just keep pounding them.

Why would our greatest ally do this?

Having Israel bomb Iran with the US ended any hope of compromise. Either we quit, go full invasion or a government coup. No good deal will ever be had with the IRG. Ever.
This is exactly what I said was going to happen when this kicked off.
Either we get some splinter group to take over using the military, send in ground troops (horrible idea) or we just say F it and walk away.

US taxpayer isn’t going to pay a dime for rebuilding…
I bet we will.
The grifters are already salivating at the possibilities.
Iran is basically telling us to come get them. That means we're going to have to go full-on demolition. Then the US taxpayer will fund the rebuild, and the grifters will siphon their cut off the top.

Fully agree.

It’s almost like the people stating the demands from the Iranian media, which tend to be IRGC, don’t know what others in the government are doing/discussing as they try to find an off ramp.
This is exactly what the US wants as it continues to drive the wedge between the politicians, clerics, and IRGC. The hardliners want to “win” the clerics want to martyr a generation, and the politicians want to not die.
Eventually, the desire to not die always wins out and the hardliners and clerics will get sacrificed in the name of self preservation.
So yes, the US and Iran are negotiating, but really this is just one more step in the pressure campaign to force the eventual regime change.

We are going to cut China out of the loop for Iranian oil and force the Chinese to buy oil using US dollars. Meanwhile, Russia already indicated last month that they're open to going back to the dollar as well.
The way we do that is rebuild Iranian infrastructure and force them to trade on the dollar in exchange for the rebuild.
Everything will be paid for with the proceeds of Iranian oil sales.

We have the most powerful military in the world and yet be at a huge strategic advantage. The war lovers here on the poli board refuse to acknowledge that.
Our goals apparently were to kill Iran's top leadership than blow up Fordow and other nuclear facilities. We are playing a whack a mole trying to erase more leaders while Iran continues to control shipping in Hormuz and maintain a viable stock of missiles and FPV drones.

I hope you are right. I'll believe it when I see it.
Even if you are right, the seed money will come from the US treasury, and will most likely never be paid back.

I wouldn’t look at it that way. When you’re religious you don’t fear death. When you’re doing “God’s work” or this case “allah’s work” you don’t bend all that easily on your goals.
