Interesting occurrence voting in NC

My wife was initially told she couldn’t vote because their system had marked her as having already voted. It took 40 MINUTES for the poll workers to finally verify that she had in fact, not voted.
We waited, but how many people have had this happen to them and couldn’t/didn’t wait?

I think you’re a bundle of sticks.

Why would they lie? That's a weird take.

Don't know where you're voting, but we still have a paper check in system in Wake County. Always seemed to me like human error would be very easy to make a mistake. All it takes is someone putting a sticker in the wrong place.
Wouldn't be surprised if this happens at least a few times a day. Thankfully it is indeed a paper system where they can track down the error instead of a digital system that couldn't be resolved.

Always, always keep an eye on your voting record on the Secretary of State's website. I check every time before I head to the polls just to be certain nobody has already voted under my registration.

Our check in system is digital. Actual voting is with paper ballot. The poll worker debating the truthfulness of my wife’s claim did eventually retrieve a paper list that said she hadn’t yet voted.
It’s possible it was user error during the check in process, but why not have the master list readily available for verification instead of making voters wait for confirmation?
I imagine a lot of people get frustrated and leave.

Of course you do.

I'm hoping someone already tried to vote using my name. Then I can report the fraud to Trump and get a million dollars.

You check every time you go vote to make sure someone hasn't already beaten you to your own vote? Bro....

I think you believe the 2020 GE was a free and fair election with no DSA shenanigans or rigging.

Is your wife considered dead? If yes, she voted blue.

This happened to someone I know in Texas last week.

I am sure this isn't "widespread"
