Interesting facts about slavery I'll bet you didn't know.

• The first legal Slave owner in American history was a Black tobacco farmer named Anthony Johnson.
• North Carolina’s largest Slave holder in 1860 was a Black plantation owner named William Ellison.
• American Indians owned thousands of Black Slaves.
• In 1830 there were 3,775 free Black people who owned 12,740 Black Slaves.
• Many Black Slaves were allowed to hold jobs, own businesses and own real estate.
• Brutal Black-on-Black Slavery was common in Africa for thousands of years.
• Most Slaves brought to America from Africa were purchased from Black Slave owners.
• Slavery was common for thousands of years in many other countries.
• White people ended legal chattel Slavery.
Go figure.

For many Africans sold into slavery, it was either slavery or be eaten by their captors, who were other black Africans.This idea that white southern slave owners or their plantation bosses went into the jungles of Africa and captured the slaves is a total f*cking myth.

Play a little game with yourself. Every now and then, go randomly flip on PBS and tell me what's on or what promo they're running. More than 40% of the time it's going to be some feature on the Holocaust, civil rights or slavery.
That's just ridiculously out of proportion when considering the vast of array of programming subject matter available in the universe

So if a black person can trace his ancestry back to a relative who owned slaves, do they too have to pay reparations?

They aren't going to stop. They own the multi ethnic coalition of American politics. Why would they stop?
You can't win on this issue. When you engage it, you lose. Because engaging it in this manner gives them control over the conversation. It assumes their frame.

That would make sense, but everyone knows that reparations will just be based on race.
