On the guy correlating education rates to marriage decline… I thought college educated women were more likely to get and stay married than non college educated?
I’m more curious to see the decline of marriage as compared to the value of government entitlements.

WHEN married, they are less likely to divorce
And marriage is becoming a cultural trait of higher SES populations
However, when the overall picture decreases the available men available for marriage, there simply won't be enough to maintain a robust population of married women.

However, in divorces where both married partners were college educated, women initiated the divorce 90% of the time.

The numbers speak for themselves. Even if they stayed together they're fricking miserable
That's just sort of the inherent persona of old Jewish couples. They aren't really miserable. At least I don't think so.

If they scroll social media long enough they will find something to make them miserable that impacts their mood. A prettier women, someone is eating out and they aren’t, someone on a date, it is inevitable. Instagram is a disaster for women.

It's just the women. However, I think it's less about ethnicity and religion, about more about being 1st/2nd generation European immigrants. You see Italian, Spanish, etc., grandmothers ordering their husbands around just like Jews.
And yes, I'll be burning in hell here in Houston in about 2 weeks.

Some brief research indicates this current day 25% number for females is inaccurate. It's more like 35 to 40%. I have no idea where this chart got the most recent figure. They did not cite any sources.

Thats a shitty chart. Right Y axis should be 0-100 scale. But then it would be as provocative.

Had to go into bank to deal with acct stuff. Small talk by banker while waiting for response from their corporate HQ. She asked how long you been married, and then said I been with the same guy for 14 years and I'll never get married bc I'm not going to get trapped, I'm not that kind of woman. Has a couple kids. Said b/f popped question 2 times and she said NO. I was kinda caught off guard. She rather not deal with people, while she's making a living in a customer service setting. You can't figure a 30 something year old woman out.

I’ve been divorced for 12 years(I was 36)and have no intention of getting married again. Hell, I’ve only dated one person during that time.
I was 36 when I divorced. I quickly learned that the hardest thing to find out there is a woman with an IQ over 120. It took me 4 years.

Look at real wages vs costs of housing across the same time period and you likely have a lot of your answers as to why. Men put off marriage until they’re financially stable enough to support a family. Declining purchasing power means they reach stability later in life.
Correlation vs. causality. This board wants to blame women when the real factors vary.

A women will say money doesn’t matter until she sees other women getting wined and dined and bought expensive gifts on instagram. Then it is you don’t love me because we don’t go there or I didn’t get that. Then they look for the guy with more money. Not all women but it is a big problem in a hard financial economy.

She's seen enough guys get taken to the cleaners to allow that to happen to herself.

My kids married under 25, still married.
One has kids, one doesn’t and after 17 years of marriage I don’t think she’s going to have any.
Doesn’t know how much she’s lost by not having any. I expect one day it will hit her and realize it’s too late.

Cliff notes: women will never date down
Just wait until those women see a wedding ring on your finger. Oddly enough, I’ve drawn more attention with a ring (from women and men) than
I ever did without a ring. It’s flattering, but odd.
Also, if more women are married by age 30 than men, then who are these women 30 and under men marrying? Older men.
So dudes in your 20s…focus on your job and maximize your wealth. By the time you pass 30, the younger broads will find you more attractive than they ever did in their 20s.
It’s also interesting that women have always married at a higher rate before age 30 than men during the same era, and the gap has always been around 10%.
Conclusion: women have always sought out older men at the same rate and no other societal change has changed it.
