LIVINGSTON, La. (WAFB) - Livingston police arrested 26-year-old Rajat Kumar in connection with a Friday evening hit-and-run involving a semi-truck.

This happened on I-12 eastbound near mile marker 20.

Lucky there wasn't anyone in the backseat of the car or it would've been a fatality. This wreck occurred where I-12 goes from three lanes to two just west of Livingston/Frost. I knew the driver was either an Indian or from south-of-the-border when I saw they fled after the accident.

What is this board's obsession with wanting to charge people with crimes that they did not commit?

every other billboard on I-12 is for a lawyer that will get you great amounts of money for an accident caused by an 18 wheeler. Signing up one of those is a far better approach than trying to put employer / owner in jail

A company / owner can be charged & prosecuted if it can be shown that they played a role in the negligence. Running a driver extended periods, faulty equipment maintenance, and obviously hiring a driver with knowledge of falsified documents

Where does it even say that the guy was here illegally?

That article doesn't say a fricking thing to that effect.

You guys are such morons.

I didn’t imply anything towards that incident in that statement. You questioned why people suggest having people arrested / charged for others actions and I showed how it’s is possible.

Kumar was coming from White Castle across the river after meeting up with Harold. Kumar might be getting the cockmeat sandwich this evening.

If he knowingly provided a truck/cargo/job to someone who can't read English, then he knew, or should have known, that he was putting the public at risk.

I watched a Sikh parallel park an 18 wheeler uphill in 9AM traffic in downtown Toronto without getting out once, on the first try in around 45 seconds.

I considered giving him a round of applause, by far the most masterful piece of truck driving I've ever seen.

I know that has jack shite to do with this guy on I-12 but some Sikhs are very, very good operators.
