A young lady decided to wear a traditional Chinese gown to her high school prom because she thought it was a beautiful dress. Only one problem...she's WHITE!! Unbelievable. Can you believe her level of cultural appropriation?

We just went through this with the local arts council. They banned a presentation of some geisha costume because of appropriation. I guess one native and several white women were offended for the Asians

"She is wearing a traditional dress that is reserved for special occasions and by her, a non-Chinese woman, thinking she is entitled to our culture, she is profiting (does not necessarily mean $$) from it. That is cultural appropriation. Cultural appropriation is racism"
