Hank Johnson insists that the rapid movement of blacks from the eastern side of the state to the west will cause everything to flip over.

Democrats: It's just going to be the statues
Also Democrats: "It is simply not enough to remove statues."

Then you don’t have much of a problem with anything. Just go ahead and donate all your property to the nearest black person, move to Europe, and politely die.

Very few blacks relatively out in the mountains of Appalachia ever.

Why is one of these capitalized
I purposely put it in lowercase in the headline since the article capitalized it.

It's comical because this group approach to blame only applies to One race. Meanwhile blacks want no responsibilities whatsoever as a group for their obvious cultural problems that directly affect white people

The only agreement is that they will invest in black communities, not actual cash to people. Guess what? Most black communities are already getting these type investments, opportunity zone.., etc... This won't cost taxpayers additional money as we already waste money in communities that don't care about themselves anyway. Many big cities pour tons of taxpayer money into these "disadvantaged" communities already.

"(Slavery) is this institution that serves as the starting point for the building of the strong economic floor for white America, while attempting to keep Blacks subordinate forever to its progress," said Smith. Increasing generational wealth — something African Americans were deprived of through economic and regulatory discrimination — should be the focus, he said.
How does enslavement 160 years ago keep Blacks subordinate to Whites forever (and note that word, the reparations will never end), but Jews being exterminated and cooked in ovens only 80 years ago somehow didn’t make them subservient to non-Jewish Germans?

"I am responsible for the beating of Johnnie Rush in August of 2017," he said referencing the infamous beating of an unarmed Black Asheville pedestrian by a police officer. "I may not have hit him or tased him or choked him, but I paid the man who did."
False narrative. You did not voluntarily pay the man that tased you, you were involuntarily taxed for it. just as you are not responsible for all of the atrocities committed while at war because you paid taxes. You still suffer, by the consequences suffered by the country that taxes you. Suffer more if your country loses, less if they win, by in large.

Agree.
If this vote would have come from a conservative council, I would have considered it a very clever way to appease.
...And Asheville and the surrounding area is an awesome place to visit.

No, it means they will spend or redirect even more money.

I hate to let them in on this secret, but most whiteys don't have generational wealth either.

It’s looks more like grand standing from democrats. I don’t see any article that says blacks will actually get money .

What a fricking joke. It’s a shame because Asheville is one of the most beautiful places in the country. Oh well, they are fricked now.

But David Greenson said white people like him needed Black people to get reparations "because our souls are in jeopardy."

Are you fricking kidding me?!?
I just moved back to Asheville last month. frick those idiots.
Not one city council member voted no.
No one in my family ever owned a slave and my ancestors got here AFTER the civil war. I owe NO ONE anything.
BTW - if you are black and pay taxes, will you get taxed at a lower rate? Will I get taxed at a higher rate? Both sound unconstitutional as hell.
