2020 is not a huge issue for independent voters or moderates anywhere.
It’s simply not a winning issue for the general election, or the congressional election.
But go ahead and make it the number one issue in primaries so that we can nominate more underperforming losers who will inevitably lose winnable races. Just like 2022.

The only thing your data shows is that Trump was less popular in some areas. In fact, Trump did better in Wayne county in 2020 than 2016.
If you look at rural Michigan, Trump underperformed compared to 2016. That is what cost him Michigan. Jon Ham broke down all the data.

Each side can cherry pick counties to support their argument. The fact is that Trump saw an increase in % of total votes in 63 out of 83 counties in MI from 2016 to 2020, and the Biden increase the % from Clinton in 81 out of 83 counties. Trump's margin of victory/defeat increased in 58 counties compared to Biden's 25.
Hidden in the numbers is the fact that the number of 3rd party votes decreased from 250,902 in 2016 to 93,163 in 2020. That decrease of 157,739 is greater than Biden's margin of victory of 154,181.
Who will be the 3rd party candidates in 2024, and will they pull more votes from the R or D candidate?
