How so? According to the media he is despised with horrible approval ratings. What has happened to Rs that are up for reelection that have directly taken him on?

Also, remember that Mueller's investigation has already taken a number of credibility hits. There is an IG report coming that will likely snag even more members of his team. The Trump camp has stated numerous times that they believe that the investigation will be over with by the end of the year.

Trump has avoided going after Mueller, and that is totally not his style. Yet, we keep seeing Mueller take hits at an increasing rate. Does Trump know something that we don't?

I've been involved in a number of IG investigations, they are a lot like SC investigations. They are never going to return something that isn't a knock on the target. You are never going to get an IG report back that says, "Hey, you guys are doing great!"

And what is the one single thing that neither the GOP nor Dems can tolerate? Some non-politician Outsider businessman to waltz into Wash DC and show We the People: 1) FedGov doesn't need to be so powerful; 2) FedGov doesn't need to have so many regulations; 3) FedGov can function better and more efficiently with fewer employees; 4) FedGov CAN "look out for #1" -- the USA; 5) Lobbyists don't need to have so much power and influence.

Wow - Could not agree more with that assessment.

Both sides see a breach in their established money making machine. I personally would support term limits on house and senate seats.

Edit to fix a typo

No there's not. There's one. Nevada. That's it. There's 10 democrat senators up in state that Trump won. The Dems are going to get slaughtered in the senate elections.

it moves to the Senate and it will need a 2/3s vote in that chamber.

This is easily the most difficult part of the process. And a major reason that a sitting president will likely never be removed from office.

You clearly weren't around for the Clinton impeachment. Pick up a history book.

It would probably take a Sandusky type event to make it happen.

I personally guarantee you that neither the GOP nor the Dems want some Outsider to demonstrate any of the above because that would de-rail the Trillion Dollar Gravy Train that's given Generational Wealth to career Wash DC politicians and careerists.

That's the plan, let's hope/pray Trump does not disappoint.

The GOPe are such losers---is the only way the dems would take any seats. I am hoping that people see that the GOPe lost with their Moore take down and their power is dwindling.

Hoping....that a new Speaker will be elected and the fake arse young guns are exposed more.

The most realistic scenario for the dems retaking the Senate has them gaining 3 seats in 2018,

Last I checked the election map is soooo favorable to the R's in ;18 that this statement is totally false. On the other hand, if it is the most likely scenario the Ds are fricked.
