There are far more efficient ways of killing people in the close confines of a classroom than an AR-15. You could stand in the doorway with a shotgun and do more damage with 3-4 shells than an AR unless everyone just sits there and lets you shoot them one by one.

Name where a lone person with a shotgun has killed 59 people from 3000 ft away like in Vegas,or 17 kids in Florida.The idea at shotgun is a mass killing machine like an AR-15 is stupid.
