Great questions. The global elitists in government don't really believe in Climate Change. It's just a tool for them to usher in the Great Reset. That's why Barry and Mike bought a home on Martha's Vineyard, there's no rising seas that would cause concern. Unfortunately, the progressives are indoctrinating our young children to believe this myth/religion. They also use every weather event and non weather events to blame man made Climate Change.
BTW - I've been reading this board daily as well as the OT, Food/Drink and Music for about 12 years. Finally decided to register and post and be a part of the the best board on the web. Appreciate you good people.

Climate fear = scared people. Scared people will virtually beg you to take their money in exchange for the illusion of security.

This guy is a greenie and he thinks climate alarmists are full of shite.

Why is Lady Liberty not wading in water at this point if sea levels have risen?
At this specific location this has been the recorded trend:
LINK
But notice the trend for the last 150 years or so is linear. What does that mean? Linear means a straight line, a trend that is not accelerating in a positive or negative direction.
This is due to a combination of sea level rise and land subsidence.
There are other locations were the sea level is lowering.
Here is another location in Alaska where the lowering of the sea level is non-linear. The sea-level is decreasing at an accelerating rate:
Here you can see massive sea level lowering (or is it land appreciation?)...Alaska is gaining land due to plate tectonics. In fact most of the sea level decreasing or increasing is due to land subsidence or growth.
That fact is since the last ice-age the sea level has risen however we are basically at a sea level plateau for the last 6000 years.

2) Why does ocean front property continue to be the most valuable real estate in the world? And if sea levels were an issue, why wouldn't insurance companies and banks be making policies related to sea levels changing to protect themselves. We all know that no one covers their asses more than insurance companies and banks
Well, exactly.
quote:
3) Why do they keep changing the name to the climate crisis? Global cooling, greenhouse effect,, global warming, climate change, whatever they call it now.
The left loves to change language. When you can't defend existing definitions change the name. "Climate change" is incredibly difficult to argue against because the climate has been changing since the beginning of the earth. You can't argue against climate change but you still have to call out the left on their nonsense and lies.
quote:
4) Why do the very same people who have sounded the alarms on climate change, just so happen to benefit from it the most financially? Al Gore, Bill Gates, etc.
Because the will make more money.
quote:
5) Why is nuclear power and natural gas never an option as alternative energy? When there is no carbon footprint? This would be the easiest solution if this was really an emergency
Being against nuclear energy especially the current generation of nuclear power plants were water is used as the moderator it the biggest red flag for climate change crazies hypocrisy. You have to give it the French credit though...over 80% of their electricity is nuclear power.
quote:
6) Why is China and India never discussed as a component to man made climate change? They are responsible for the vast majority of the world's carbon footprint. Yet I have never once heard a Democrat or someone in the MSM mention that as it being an issue. If we were staring down an Armageddon scenario, why wouldn't we be focusing most of our attention on them?
Because Democrats have no control over them especially China. In fact China has control over most of DC.
quote:
7) Why are all of their predictions wrong?
Because they are religious nuts.

Because just like everything else the liberals push it’s really all about redistribution of wealth.

None of the other questions matter when the answer to this question is so very obvious.

Interesting that you use State Of Fear as your example. In his epilogue, Chrichton begrudgingly admits that climate change is real. His book was more about the the hipocracy of climate change activists.

Why are some of y’all so damned adamant about climate change being false, that scientists are all in some kind of giant conspiracy about it
They're not all in collusion. There's actually a high percentage of climate scientists out there that don't receive government funding, who state that man-made climate change is minimal and that the Earth is in a predictable, cyclical period of warming.
Ask yourself why you don't hear their opinions that are based on science? Ask why the media and other government funded entities don't report the findings and opinions of these scientists that don't receive funds and research grants from D.C... you know why.
There is NOT a unanimous consensus. It's not even a large majority either way. Scientists that receive government money, agree with the government's position 93% of the time. Scientists that don't receive government funds, disagree with the narrative 95% of the time.
I screenshotted these numbers from an article about two years back that I'm trying to find, and will update this post if/when I do.
Aside from that, I'm friends with a climate scientist who teaches weather science and meteorology at one of the major Midwestern colleges right in the heart of tornado alley. He's well recognized and published from coast to coast, and one of the leading tornado researchers on earth... in class and on camera, he 100% stands behind "man-made global warming", but in private he says the earth has been changing for 4.2 billion years and that this is just another warming trend that will pass. In public, he won't make that statement and risk losing funding for the research that he's devoted 40 years of his life into.
It's not as black and gray as you believe.

8) Why are some of y’all so damned adamant about climate change being false, that scientists are all in some kind of giant conspiracy about it, and want to keep polluting and destroying the environment?
1. People in charge of pushing this bullshite gain money, fame, and power.
2. What they are saying is happening is provably false on the basis of physics.
3. If what they are saying was true, they have not proven (or even seriously studied) that a degree or two warmer is not actually a good thing.
4. They want to disrupt my life and take my money to further their bullshite.
5. They have no provision for me to opt out of their bullshite plan, penalizing me for not buying into their provably wrong bullshite.

Now on the other hand, 19th century forts built along the Mississippi south of New Orleans Louisiana may show a different picture. And that is because land is sinking in SE Louisiana relative to sea level. With sinking land and a static sea level the net result for the land is sea level rise. It is called relative sea level rise.
So subsidence.

Well, they are not ALL in agreement on the “settled science” claim either.

Climate happens. Sometimes it’s hot and sometimes is cold, there are even times when climate feels good. Rain happens or all life dies but most of the time it doesn’t which is okay. 1st grade knowledge, maybe our leadership should go back to 1st grade

Not really. It's a 1000MW natural gas plant.
Google how many acres of solar panels it takes to generate 1MW of electricity then multiply that by 1000.

Why did Obama buy a $10MM+ home on Martha's Vinyard...

It’s 5 acres per MW for utility scale solar. So 8000 acres would be 1.6 TW.

1. That's just an illustration! (
sorry)
2. There are ECONOMISTS who claim they've seen shrinking glaciers and point to the western lack of water. Never mind that glaciers grow and shrink routinely, over centuries. THIS ISN'T ANYTHING NEW!
3. There is no CRISIS. The climate changes, and we can't change that.
We can do better with our industrial pollution. Toxic chemicals, heavy metals, and yes, plastics.
