Welcome! I am a registered independent unaffiliated. I vote republican but now would like to vote out the Paul Ryan/McCains of the party. (Graham as well... his fake suck ups should not fool anyone) We need people like you to run that can't be bought when they get to DC. Thus the reason Trump resonates; he can't be bought.

I am a 65 year old white guy who abandoned the so called Democratic Party in my middle/late 20s upon realizing that black families were, for all intents and purposes, destroyed and discovering the stories and statistics used to justify the murder of 60,000,000 unborn children of all races were either false outright or manipulated to say other than what they indicated.

While I find the OP's screed compelling, I disagree with your specific claim here. Perhaps we should mention that, in the 30s, 40s and 50s when black Americans were being so conventionally and laudably respectable for white folks to approve, their very own federal government was systematically excluding them from the housing market. The very same housing market that was overwhelmingly the engine for the poor and the lower middle class to move on up in the world over the next 2 generations.

That is to say - when black folks were behaving just as you seem to think they should be - they still received brutal economic punishment in exchange. And that punishment has had way more far reaching effects.
