When you say “other Democrats,” which of the 238 known variations of “Democrat” are you referring to? Because you might find that an “other Democrat” could either sorta identify with you, or identify in name only, or even somehow possibly those who don’t agree with you on anything at all.
My personal observations have led me to conclude only the following traits that are seemingly universal amongst all variations: drama queen know it alls. I say “seemingly” to leave the door cracked for possible exception to that “rule”. Perhaps you are that better exception.

You're allowed to be, but you shouldn't be. It tells people things about you that aren't good. Calling yourself a democrat today means that you want this country destroyed, for the most part. You only believe in the Constitution, the presumption of innocence, the rule of law, equal protection, non-discrimination, tolerance, inclusion, equality, capitalism, and the electoral college and a republican form of government when it's convenient. When it isn't, you want it destroyed.
We can go into the things it tells people you believe in that makes you an enemy of every freedom and liberty loving American if you'd like, but I don't think you would.

It is interesting re your comment "LSU board", as the Leftist policy of the current LSU management and policy (BLM at the fore) is slammed with no mercy on this Forum.
And being a Democrat in a DEBATE forum such as this, just assumes that a poster will defend and promote Democrat policy and action. If you can successfully do that, T...I'll dance at your wedding.
Neither V. Putin or Chairman Xi could argue the superiority of their Democratic Totalitarian Regimes as opposed to the (former) Constitutional Republic which assumes and codifies that "inalienable Rights come from God", and not the prevailing whims of a majority of the populous. I.e., "mob rule". Much less a group of Elites who buy off or dupe said populous, and attempt to "fundamentally change" said Constitutional Republic.
Of course, they, and you, can argue that God-given, Individual Rights do not exist, and therefore should be disrespected in service to the populous. That is a subjective value...but not a concrete Truth.
This Nation has been extraordinarily successful in it's level of populous affluence. Though when freedom to be successful and affluent, also means the freedom to fail in both. Now if you believe that that 'Freedom' is immoral, as the weak succumb to failure, then it's up to you to argue said immorality, and persuade those who would and will fight to keep their Freedom.
Some Leftist here - and across this Nation - think that fighting to keep one's Freedom FROM Democratic Authoritarian rule, is immoral, and "insurrection". The Constitution LIMITED Government, for that very reason. So, if you are truly a "Democrat" in today's political dynamic, then you believe and promote "fundamental change" and dissolution of the Constitutional Republic.
