This implys that it is ok to say a white person looks a monkey, right? Otherwise the statement would be "you cannot call ANYONE a monkey." If there is a double-standard, why? Is it somehow less offensive to say a white person looks like a monkey? Not offensive?

WIKI says both parents are black. Take that with a grain of salt I guess. What I did find interesting is a 2015 article from Judicial Watch:

I don’t know why anyone would feel the need to defend Rosanne or anyone in this situation. It’s not as if she got caught up in a heated face to face argument and blurted it out. She tweeted it out, which means she had plenty of time to compose it, and all the opportunity in the world not to hit the send button. Doesn’t really matter what side of the political spectrum you fall on, there are some lines you can’t cross, and using the term monkey while discussing any person of color is one of them.

She's got more African American in her than white. Her dad is African American and her mom is 1/4 African American.
