Curry wasn't fired. He just was unpopular among Bama fans and people were generally happy to see him resign.
re: Kick Six should have been called back

One Auburn coach ( who I think is Malzahn himself) seems like he might have just barely entered the field when the return got to about the Alabama 30 yard line. If that was called, Auburn would have received a 15 yard penalty for illegal participation. That would have given Auburn an untimed down from the Alabama 45.
They would have had the option of either going for a Hail Mary or possibly kicking a kick six themselves.

I think that was created to prevent Bert from getting fired after 2018.
Unfortunately Bert was fired after 2017 so it won't matter.

I was referring to the success they had at the program where they were fired.
Bert was awful at Arkansas. Wisconsin was a different story.

This. Solich has to got to be one of the most one of the most overrated coaches I've ever seen. It's really not that hard to look at his Nebraska tenure and argue he was winning based on Tim Couch and the Osborne players until the 2002 disaster occurred. And that's not even getting into the problems that having an option offense in the 3rd millennium would pose.
And truthfully his time at Ohio isn't that mesmerizing either. 97-71 overall, 64-40 in the MAC. He's never finished less than 4 losses, won the MAC, or finished ranked. The only time he's even been ranked during the season was 2013, when he had Ohio at #23 for a single week before they went 2-4 the rest of the way.

How in the world did Orgeron get the LSU job after what a disaster he was at Ole Miss?

Paul Pasqualoni is a good one.
I never really understand why some people think Solich was that good of a coach. He had a 16-12 record starting with the Colorado and Miami disasters in 2001. Weren't they down 37-0 at half in the Miami game? Essentially he was being carried by Eric Couch and the other Osborne players in his earliest seasons.
His performance at Ohio (and the very fact that he ended up at Ohio) really doesn't suggest anything fantastic about Solich either.

Interesting list.

Yeah. Not sure why I forgot about Richt.
With that being said, although I think Richt's firing was stupid, that was possibly the worst 10-3 season to ever occur. I think I read somewhere that UGA was the first SEC team to ever finished unranked after winning 10 or more games.

37 points going into the 4th.
51 points at halftime.

I said fired for on field reasons.
Hayes was fired for punching a Clemson player.
Edit: I guess punching a player is technically an on the field reason, but by on the field I meant related to wins and losses.

Solich was not very good after he ran out of Eric Couch and the other Tom Osborne recruits.
If he were that good then wouldn't he have been able to at least get an Iowa State type job rather than end up at Ohio?
And his record at Ohio is 97-71, not really world beating. I can't recall him ever having a notable upset win over a power conference opponent. He hasn't even won a conference title in 13 years there.

Fulmer was slumping quite a bit at the end.
With that being said, it's was silly to fire Fulmer to hire a guy who had a losing record in the WAC.

re: Florida, thank you for muschamp

I like Muschamp as a person. Just not as a coach.
He's done pretty well at South Carolina, especially after Spurrier left behind such a notorious dumpster fire. Unfortunately he did not work out at UF.

I'd go with David Cutcliffe and Jeff Tedford. And Les Miles, as much as it'll piss LSU fans off.
For these purposes I'm referring to coaches who were fired for on field performance. Not somebody like Art Briles who was fired for other reasons.

Part of the problem with student loans is that they give them to anybody who applies for one. Even if they're majoring in women studies or black studies.

The SC legislature is made up of Dixie Protestants who think that we need to support Israel in order to bring on the End Times.
