When 4cubbies, Damone, SFP, cwill, etc are on your side, you probably need to re-examine your thought process

I mean thats the dream team of progressive thought on here

If this were any team other than LSU we wouldn’t have 3 threads a day going 10 pages long. Instead yall would be in solidarity with your governor bitching about players not being out there for the anthem. It’s amazing the effect homerism has on one’s consistency in outrage.

The first reply to this OP nailed it. Let it go.

"Let it go"

That still doesn't make it go away. That doesn't negate away the fact that the man is a statist jackass.

As a Mississippian, I hope and pray yall's migration into my state means the ones who are doing it will not vote in the absolute disastrous shitshow politicians that yall have a propensity to go to bat for.

Louisianians are horrible at politics.

He seems like what would happen if AI was only exposed to 30 years of Rush Limbaugh and Hannity, then was exported into a human brain.

Anybody that puts a young person with zero experience in charge of a state agency of 700+ people because she worked the Trump campaign in Ohio has questionable decision making, at best.
Heard that his sustainable energy leader is a kid just worked on an oil rig too. Who is his dad?

Where was you same sense of outrage when Edwards was actually infringing First Amendment rights?

Many of the same people disappointed in Landry over his “look at me!” antics were also pissed at Edwards for his dictator style lockdowns and mask mandates.

If Landry starts stripping athletes at public universities of their scholarships for refusing to stand for the National Anthem, then I’ll join with you in condemning him.

Awesome.

But he did go to his tweeter and stated that’s what he wanted to do. Instead of calling the head coach or the AD to have a discussion like an adult, he ran to social media like some 16 year old girl.

Does Jeff Landry want to be a good Governor like Ron DeSantis or Doug Burgum, or does he just want to me some social media “influencer” like Looney Loomer?

I’m hoping he wants to he the former.

Traditionally....going back decades the teams took the field and court after the national anthem. Football team still does it unless you want them running out or finding a way around the big LSU the band forms on the field and then after the pre game salute plays the Alma mater and national anthem from the formation.

Also been a tradition on the basketball court going back decades as well just not all of the same extra activity except for promotions.

This truly is a stupid topic overall. Ginned up by stupid people to take your eyes off the fact that both Landry and the legislature are doing nothing, zero, zilch on real issues that effect Louisianians everyday .

There were a couple of other suitable GOP choices, but their messaging wasn't idiocracy, so they couldn't overcome Landry's campaign based on it.

I don't know. I think that's probably what he's actually best at. The game of politics to solidify a hard base that will follow him and make excuses for him no matter what.

quote:

Landry, ever the political opportunist, made a major miscalculation by impugning the LSU women's basketball ball team and coaches without knowing all the facts.

Made a major miscalculation for Louisiana and the program, sure. However, what's his endgame here? If it is to drum up supporters and social conservative issue donors outside of Louisiana, he probably played it perfectly.
