I'm a lifelong Catholic, but I'm far from super religious. I regularly attend church, but I have my doubts about God and religion like a lot of people do. I'm not proud of it, but that's my journey with religion.
But even in my most non-believer moments, I never have doubts about morality or humanity. There are religious people who are evil and non-believers who are good and moral.
I don't really see the two as connected.

We believe these are God-given rights. The left wants to tear down religion and not have belief/structure in a higher power so that we cannot say we have God-given rights.

Some men who lived a few hundred years ago and signed a piece of paper, or the U.S. Government, whichever way you want to look at it, is the source of your rights? If men, or the government, gives you rights, it can take those rights away.

it's literally as simple as the mass use of this term interchangeably with white supremacism and used in context in stories that make it sound scary. it's pure propaganda. the deliberate use of the word "Nationalist" to invoke some sort of nebulous connection to "National Socialism (just ignore that socialism part everyone) is also certainly deliberate.
they are counting on the semi or entirely unconscious connection of these things in the American public who digest their propaganda:
conservative patriotic American Christian = Christian Nationalist = National Socialist = Nazi = white supremacist

I was raised Catholic as well but generally consider myself an agnostic. My question is focused on your use of the word inherent. I dont believe its inherent and that its a societal construct. Believers in a higher power can make the case its objective but I've never heard atheist or non believer do so. So where does an atheist believe these inherent rights come from? If they are subjective then they arent inherent.
