Easy, you don’t get to smoke pot or drink alcohol while you are on government assistance.

That way there is no blurry lines between the legal states and not legal states for pot.

Have you estimated what the cost would be to implement this? Is that worth further increasing our debt to make you feel better about poor strangers getting welfare?

You really are what is wrong with this country and that stupid. So a one time charge to get this system in place to stop leeches that drain Billions and Billions every month and you talk about increasing our debt and use your feeling “poor strangers” comment. End this nonsense and these poor people will maybe get off their arse and get jobs and stop having babies that fall into the hole.

The virtue signal queen has arrived. All hail.

Well… I guess if cost vs. savings is the argument… we can just drop the testing of parolees as well.

That it’s cheaper longterm to cut off an unnecessary expense even if it’s costs a little upfront. Think “buyout” of a contract

No matter what it is, I can guarantee you it's cheaper than paying for welfare Queens and their offspring.

inclined to keep voting for Democrats and the free shite

bingo

in the realm of automatic control systems, this is called "positive feedback" (or at least that is what we called it back in the 60s) - it causes instability every time. You can tolerate a small amount of positive feedback IF you have a major inputs that just overpower it.

What we are having now is getting close to the equality point - at which the whole systems then fails.

As long as the 'needy' are only getting a small percentage of the overall wealth without contributing anything the system can plod right along - but just as soon as the needy require more than the system spend on keeping itself running it all fail - UNLESS the 'system' can 'refinance' itself.

Unless corrected, total failure is a mathematical certainty. The only variable is how long it takes.

We are on a slope that has to be corrected immediately. Thank GOD for trump having the guts to not only state the obvious be to actually roll up his sleeves and try to fix it.

I agree with your sentiment, but nothing has to be done now. All you have to do is change the rules. Change the qualifiers to get on any type of public assistance.

Once the bill is passed, it goes into effect at some future date in order to not suddenly cut off or have harsh effects on so many people. Hell it could be 18 years later before it kicks in for some things. This would still be a huge win.

Resurrect a modern version of the poor farm. Nobody should go without food and shelter if they are willing to work to help.

How about being part of the solution and instead of using every excuse we have heard for decades now from people like yourself. I have no problem if white liberals pull out their checkbooks and start writing checks directly to the people they feel so obligated to represent but stop using working people's tax dollars on people and cultures that embrace the victim mentality.

Really? The cost would not be much. Private business already has to pay that cost.

Besides, savings seen by many dropping off the roles would more than offset.

Except for one inconvenient fact. This has been tried before and the program costed more than the savings.

It's as if everyone here is worthless and retarded
