"They" aren't doing anything because "they" are dead. Some interchangeable assholes are doing things.

Ok..so some different IRGC guys because the other IRCG guys are dead. What does that change?
The main thing we did was help the IRGC consolidate power. We got rid of the Ayatollah which allowed the IRGC to replace him with his weak, gay, crippled son. So that was a huge win for "them".
The interchangeable assholes you mentioned.

We could blow up all of their oil infrastructure which is 50% of their GDP but you would get another Gaza style humanitarian disaster with more peaceful Muslims flooding into western nations.
Iran would also hit the oil infrastructure in Gulf states. Completely wrecking the global economy and causing a global recession.

Give a reason why we should be there, or do that?

The IRGC runs the country. We’ve eliminated very few of them. Iran isn’t Iraq they aren’t going to just give up because a bridge or power plant is damaged. That’s not how religious fanatics operate. We need to target where the actual soldiers are and kill them all.

I think the only thing we could do would be to destroy infrastructure with the hope that the people rise up due to the collapse of everything. The other option is arming groups like the Kurds and let them do internal damage creating more instability on the ground. This has a bad track record though.

Bombing a country to hell only works with a rational enemy.
The world dealt with 2 fanatical enemies in WW2.
It took massive effort with boots on the ground and massive casualties to reduce one of them to unconditional surrender.
The other took a combination of boots on the ground and a new wonder weapon.
Let’s calculate this like an AI would:
Sole remedy- unconditional surrender of Iran
Only 2 methods available:
1. total committed ground war.
2. Nuclear war.
The people in all governments have ruled out total ground war.
Sole method available. . .

I can show you on the doll.
Ugh in the military grave yard.
How many soldiers did we lose in Korea, Vietnam, Iraq?
What did the USA gain from those wars?
The military industrial complex got wealthy.
I made seven patrols on a Polaris Missile Submarine, back in the 60's, protecting the USA from the Soviet Union. wink wink.
Lyndon Johnson was President. The Submarine on which I was stationed, was made by Electric Boat, in Groton, Connecticut. President Johnson was a Stock Holder in Electric Boat.
In 1967, while in port, preparing to load two new missiles, we received word that the USS Liberty was under attack. We were ordered to close up ship and prepare for Sea. No reason given as to why we would go to Sea, short two missiles
I was thinking, what the hell is happening. Are we under attack back in the States, from Russia? Is my family, back in the States, safe?
Not to worry, Israel was attacking the USS Liberty. They wounded
over a hundred and killed about thirty.
Giving servicemen relief from the attack wasn't important. President Johnson and Sec Defense, McNamara recalled the fighter planes, that were en-route to give the dying sailers some protection.
Apparently, nothing has changed. Israel still has a protected status.

I have a theory that the west prefers that Israel have a strong had at that location because of the Suez Canal, another choke point just like Hormuz.

We can’t beat Iran unless it’s nuked. Why do you warhawks keep thinking they will bend the knee to the US?

These hardliners would live in caves and not surrender. The only solution is for the citizens to rise up. We can’t bomb our way to victory. This was the mistake of this whole adventure.

Shapiro can't understand why we didn't put "Boots On the Ground".
Meanwhile he sits in his Penthouse in NY.
If he believes, why isn't he "putting his boots on the ground".
