Panican, you said this

Thanks for trying
FFS, bro. "Except the handful of congressmen" very clearly implies that he holds the vast majority of Congress that aren't in the "handful" responsible. That's not "defending Congress."

Quit trying to gotcha every post and actually read what is said.

For those in the back, WE HAVE ALREADY BEEN IN A RECESSION They changed the definition for Biden, now bringing it back for Trump. It's ridiculous. We have long been in one.

Not sure who “they” are in your post but the economic community recognizes that we had a recesssion in the first half of 2022.

I’d blame the corrupt government of the last 2-3 decades that allowed the country to find itself with so many necessary corrective actions. Somebody will have to feel the pain. Better us than our kids and grandkids.

Man that’s a great answer. There was never any coming out of this without pain. I’ve been saying that for years, but I admire your stance that we should shoulder it, simply because someone else otherwise would have to.

Heavily targeted “blame” is not productive. This has been a long time coming over multiple presidents. Trump will be blamed, and that shouldn’t matter, what should matter is how he and the current government respond and get us out of it.

You shouldn’t be watching CNBC. Trump was left a shite show. He needs time to fix all the f$ck ups of the past four years.

My political enemy, just like everyone will.

The economy was already in a recession as it had previously been defined. The markets and other industries were being propped up by unsustainable debt. We have to re-balance the economy and return to pre-Covid spending and debt levels.

This is the solution ^.

Trump should have went after the Pentagon 1st and cut spending. They should have never passed a CR.

Coming into the election, the economy was a central topic. Some said we were in a recession already.

By your own definition we have been in one already. This happened under Biden.

You know this...why ask a question you already know the answer to?

If a serious recession hasn’t hit after the last couple years it isn’t coming any time soon.

I don’t think people appreciate how out of control inflation was.

I’ll go ahead and tell you the people who put Biden stickers on gas pumps will not be blaming Trump. Trump cannot fail, he can only be failed.

Without huge government spending/debt it’s impossible to not reset.

And any honest person knows we have to stop government spending and debt. Let it correct
