You mahfrickers are absolutely fricking delusional. We can't even get 2 astronauts home from just a few miles outside of our atmosphere, and you think we might set up a supply chain to a mining operation on an astroid?

You are a moron, please volunteer to be the roughneck

100 years ago you would be the guy driving a horse buggy instead of adopting cars

The only reason they havent come back yet is because of a grift contract to Boeing instead of letting SpaceX take care of it.

The US will land a man on Mars within the next 15 years

You might want to check that number. NASA's total annual budget is about $25 billion.

Musk is doing it better and more efficiently.
NASA can't even bring their astronauts back on schedule!
Whatever the cost of contracting Space X to assume task it has proven it can do better and cheaper should be taken from the NASA budget.

Sure. But the need to protect, guard, and weaponize space over the century is probably going to be the fastest growing business in the world.

Yes, and the US needs to be getting it done first.

You do know that when NASA launches something into space, that they buy the rocket from private industry (like SpaceX), right? SpaceX's impressive development of reusable launch vehicles will end up saving taxpayer money.

Our largest expenditures are Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Defense, and interest on the debt. I'm not saying that we shouldn't cut many programs, but until we have significant cuts to those 5, we're never going to balance the budget.

For Artemis, Boeing is contracted to build the core stage. When the build reaches a certain milestone, it's "DD250'd" to NASA. I don't think NASA is involved in the day-to-day affairs of SpaceX as they are with Boeing.

Unless NASA undergoes a big paradigm shift, it makes no sense for them to ever develop another rocket.

Hey Clown,

You do REALIZE that since Elon took on the DOGE Role, he’s lost Gov’t Contracts for at least $500Million and I’m sure more over the long haul.

Some of you just don’t get it do you!?!?!

At a certain point when Strong, Independent, Multi-Billionaires don’t need anymore money & then their immediate family is damaged forever like in Elon’s case where they turned his Son into a Tranny or whatever exactly happened & he’s had ENOUGH of the Woke Ideology & he realizes that he has to take a stand or the entire world is going to hell quickly!

Same think with Trump! He’s getting older, he’s made tons of money and success, he could be relaxing and enjoying life but he realizes he has a higher calling in his life & that if he doesn’t take the challenge, where will his lineage be in 10-20 years?

Living in a Tranny society where everyone has 20 pronouns??? And white folks are seriously marginalized to the point of no return!

They are uncovering FRAUD, THEFT, LAUNDERING, EXTORTION, SEX TRAFFICKING, DRUG ROUTES & CARTEL INFRASTRUCTURE and they are taking it all down!

And some of you fricking clowns are so simple minded that you think that they are only doing it for the money.

Trump & Elon aren’t even taking a salary you idiot!

They have walked away from contracts and business deals to avoid conflicts.

Sure, I bet & know they haven’t shut down their business entities, but it’s not like they are guys that GET INTO POLITICS and haven’t done anything in life but get a law degree, net worth of $300K or whatever & then 20-30 years in congress and worth $100-300MILLION

So stfu with this stupidity on here or go post Post on some board where they praise Trannyism!

Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, need to be scrubbed heavily for outright corruption.

Everything needs to be streamlined to avoid waste.

We should not sacrifice our 'reach for the stars' culture just because we are too lazy - or too comfortable with existing corruption and waste - to sustain our advancement in technology.

I want to see NASA returned to the destination of our smartest scientists and a mission focused solely on space exploration. We need to explode and move I civilization forward.

They just need to clean out the climate bullshite.

I have friends and family who work at NASA in Huntsville as engineers. They gonna be pissed baw.

I am fine with going through the NASA budget and cutting unnecessary stuff, but not sure if axing NASA all together is smart politically.

Same goes for NOAA. Not sure what Trump is thinking there. They do all our weather predictions and run the weather alerting system. I am sure they are infested with "climate change" people who are annoying, but they do some good work as well. If we do away with National Weather Service (who is part of NOAA), are we gonna have to rely on some ole baw on TV to do all our forecasting?

Is NASA still run by a dei islam pusher? Let's start their, and cut the fat.

Not the biggest fan of NASA depending so heavily on the private sector, as it seemed to be the innovator.

I like Nasa the idea but alot of space travel is bs. Until we master cryo stasis, fusion, economies if scale then we are wasting resources. Robots will see more of the universe than we will ever any way.
