Yes. Cornyn would not be in any doubt against a shitty DEM candidate like Freako
The 3rd place guy probably is in a better place, too.

Talarico would be a one and done like Doug Jones in Alabama.
He would probably be the most hated politician in Texas.

I believe this reasoning is built into a lot of moderate and GOP voters who won't support Paxton

But your are wildly missing on Trumps second term. It’s just fine.
It’s really not. He was swept on a mandate to fix immigration and stabilize the economy. He has done a substantively good job on immigration but the messaging has been terrible. Economically, he overpromised in the campaign given the realities of the 2020-2024 inflation, but he doubled down by starting this unnecessary war with Iran.

He also has maintained insane spending levels and offered nothing significant to lower the annual deficit, while promoting adding $500B/year to military spending.
The tariff implementation failure is historic in how stupid it was.
Floating crazy policies like the 50-year mortgage and promoting protecting inflated home values to rally support from boomers and old Gen X
etc.

That is compounded by the fact that the GOP ran a shitty, corrupt candidate that Trump pushed because he’s an egotistical nutjob.
Do you guys really not remember what happened just a couple months ago or do you just enjoy lying that much?
Trump offered to endorse Cornyn if he would support the SAVE Act that 90% of Republicans want. How is that Trump acting like an egotistical nutjob?
Trump literally fights the establishment for what the voters want, and you emotional tards still attack him for it.
Conservatives will lose because of people like you. You believe whatever retarded narrative you're sold because you're too emotional to take a second and ask yourself if it's true.
It's amazing watching "principled conservatives" completely ignore reality and defend Cornyn of all people. Seriously, wtf is wrong with you people? I fully expect you people to start blowing Thune any day now.

And ran in 2016 as “outside the establishment” and, correctly, targeted massive corruption. Starter that this term with DOGE but then engaged in the same type of corruption.
And his “bow to the King” style of engagement across the GOP has worn thin

While I think Paxton eeks this out, it would be great to see him lose if only to watch MAGA and this board go apoplectic.
The entertainment value alone would be worth it. But, I think Paxton somehow backs into a win. Currently he's being outworked.
Keep an eye on Kansas, Marshall is vulnerable and a shitty retail candidate

I still think the blue wave becomes a blue trickle, like the corollary to 2022 with the GOP. In 2022 it was the abortion issue, and in 2026 it's the DSA/not pushing moderation.
However, the past couple of days and the absolute scrambling going on by the GOP/MAGA, makes me think that may be too conservative. They seem to all be legitimately freaking out. There is no reason that Trump should be having to support Letlow in LA, but he is doing an emergency e-rally for her.

If he wins, it means that so-called republicans have become so useless that literally anyone can beat them.
Almost like it's by design. Almost.

I think a lot of the intelligent GOP voters are just tired of being lumped in with the utter stupidity Trump/MAGA promote constantly. The silliness has also worn thin.

The fact that Letlow or whomever is running anti Davis adds tells me they are not convinced about Letlow.
Think about it, if you were going to win by greater than 6 percentage points, why would you get someone to spend money like that? You would do like Scalise is doing, talk about how he is great just like chocolate cake.

The Freak won’t win. The scary thing is a halfway decent dem candidate would win easily. Fortunately the Dems primaried in a trans kid loving perv socialist wanting no borders no prison ……the freak won’t win….the blacks don’t like sketchy whites, the Hispanics don’t like perverts….

I've said that a ton.
If Paxton had to go up against a Beto-type, it would be an embarrassment.

If a card-carrying member of The god Squad like Talarico cant win in Texas, then as ive said before- the Republicans will not relinquish their stronghold on the republic of Texas in our lifetimes .
