Biden scares me as a candidate. He could beat Trump.

It would follow the run up to the Spanish civil war almost exactly.

insanity to the masses
What is insanity? Recognizing that many Americans are uninsured, and crafting Medicare-For-all? Seeing the environmental degradation of burning fossil fuels and desiring a solution in a Green New Deal? Asking for a living wage for all Americans, so that everyone can participate in a growing economy?
We're talking moderate, sensible solutions for America. Didn't the great philosopher Albert Einstein once assert "insanity is doing the same thing over again, and expecting a different result"?

Probably. If the fringe gain power they'll do everything possible to keep it.

Actually, the only one who said put blacks back in chains is Biden. He's the only I ever heard say that.

The first thing the Democrats would do is pass massive tax increases to pay for Medicaid & Medicare. Yellow Vests will soon be rioting in the streets of America.

It’s almost as if these politicians are making outlandish promises to the masses, even though they lack the ability to make them reality.
-lock her up.
- build that wall & Mexico will pay for it.
- Repeal & Replace!
- cancel funding for sanctuary cities.
Politicians gonna politic.

Destroying the entire economy just to appease a small portion of lazy arse people is now moderate?
44 million are uninsured but it’s not the entire countries job to pay for their benefits. Christ almighty why do we have to continue to subsidize the poor choices of others? Some very well might need help which fine but the clear majority is just festering off every dime and they want more and more free shite.

if the DEMs can sell this insanity to the masses, is it all over?
Is what all over?
We just went through a republican primary cycle a couple years ago where they each tried to put crazy the others, and we ended up with Trump.
I expect the democrats to have a similar primary experience.

It’s not all over until they take the guns.
When they come for the guns OR they do away with electoral college thus the ability to impose their will on mid-America.

Biden overtly mocked an Indian by telling him how all the gas stations in his state are run by Indians then did his best Indian accent. Crickets.

and what would these cost?
that cost is the insane part

Those are at least somewhat attainable goals.
The GND costs 200% GDP and these people want to implement it within a decade

What was “crazy” about the positions they took in 2016? Building a wall/immigration was the only thing far right in that entire primary.
Was it crazy suggesting fair trade deals?
Was it crazy suggesting pulling troops out and returning them home?
Was it crazy to add a conservative justice?
Was it crazy to cut taxes?
None of the positions were extreme your being completely ignorant to what the majority of Dems in this field are proposing currently.

It's not the governments job to intervene in voluntary transactions of labor and money. Just because you made awful decisions with your money doesn't give you the right to steal others money

those boasts, while silly, are nowhere near as extreme as the far-left policies being promoted by basically every DEM candidate

i didn't vote for any of them
none of them were anywhere near this extreme
none were as extreme as Bernie in 2016, and he's gotten MORE extreme
*ETA: also, there was wide diversity, from Trump to Jeb/Cruz/Rubio to Rand Paul

I never thought I'd see the day where tariffs were considered a far right policy.
