A far greater percentage of Republicans and Democrats are ignorant

It means they lean one way but don’t want to publicly take sides.

I lean more conservative as do most libertarians that I know. I'm gonna vote for Trump in November, too. There are no real Libertarian candidates out there that could earn my vote today, and I damn sure ain't voting for any Democrat that's been put in front of us in the past 5 years.

I am a libertarian, but I don’t affiliate with the party, as it has an agenda. I think true libertarians don’t really have an agenda, they just want people to leave each other alone

The party had a clear agenda when Harry Browne was running it. After he died it became a playground for failed politicians of the Dems and GOP.

Same thing happened with the Green Party. It was originally about environmentalism. Now, their candidates are just hard left Dems who couldn't go up the ladder in the Dem party. They don't even mention the environment in speeches. It's all class warfare.

That it's unfortunate and at the end of the day they'll vote democrat or sit at home which is the same as voting democrat.

I just don't understand the confliction I guess.

I wonder what they mean by libertarian so that I can ascertain whether we have many like minded views or not.

So if I do not prescribe to your world view, I am either ignorant or naive? That is elitist. If you want to think over 50% of the world is legitimately ignorant, that is fine, but to assume someone is based solely on their political leanings is ridiculous.

A lot of them just don't like the word 'liberal'. So, they are libertarians because they are Marxists who support gay marriage so that makes them libertarian.
Or, they are Marxists who want dope legalized so that makes them libertarian.

I really haven’t found this to be the case. The people you’re describing usually call themselves “anarchists”.

Most libertarians I meet are conservatives who love guns, but also think the military’s budget is too big, that militarization of local police is OOC, that they don’t care if gays get married, that too many old republican politicians are racist misogynists, and that prohibition of marijuana is stupid, counter-productive, and represents a major source of government infringement on civil liberties.

I consider myself as libertarian leaning

I think many of us fall into that category. Let's face it, the Democrat Party of today is full blown Socialist/Communist and the Republican Party is out of touch and doesn't understand what the word 'Conservative' represents today. But for the most part, since Trump has become President, I feel I am a Trumpist more than anything else. Basically, being a Trumpist means being a realist, accepting logic over emotion and PC culture.

In a nutshell, I don’t seek to impose my views or values on anyone. Yet that should be a two-way street.

“No one may threaten or commit violence (‘aggress’) against another man’s person or property. Violence may be employed only against the man who commits such violence; that is, only defensively against the aggressive violence of another. In short, no violence may be employed against a nonaggressor. Here is the fundamental rule from which can be deduced the entire corpus of libertarian theory.” Murray Rothbard.

Uh, people who call themselves anarchists are Marxists who don't like the word Marxist. And that's been going on for 100 years. True anarchy is simply absence of govt. People who protest as anarchists want LOTS of govt to overthrow the govt they don't like.

Yes, you can point out many issues with the GOP candidate, yes I believe people should vote their values, but was allowing a liberal to win in the long run worth it?

Voting for the guy who does what the liberal does at a slower pace isn't worth it either.

Yes. Mostly, let people do whatever they want as long as they're not hurting anyone or depriving them of their natural rights

Relief. It's nice meeting someone other than myself that realizes that the only difference in Republicans and Democrats is the name.

I don’t get the pedo association. I’ve only heard pedo apologist crap coming from the hard left. Consent is the bedrock of libertarianism, and minors are presumed incapable of consent. Where did this association of libertarians rather than elite progressives as pedos come from?
