As I know you know, MAGA is America First. We MUST make the right decision in 2028 AND get that person elected. I'm probably in the minority here, but as of today I favor Rubio over Vance. They both have some questions from their past, but I believe that Rubio has evolved during the Trump years. Especially since he's been the Secretary of State.
We probably agree on 99% of issues but I can’t support Rubio because of his past support for all things cia/intelligence agencies and pro amnesty.
I think he’s a fantastic Secretary of State and would obviously vote for him in a general election but I would go with Vance currently or Desantis before Rubio.
I think Desantis is easily the best governor any state has had in my lifetime

Are you saying who is the leader now or who will it be?
I think the America First movement is still forming and we can’t say for certain.
There’s too many “intellectuals” in the movement who haven’t put their foot in the ground and done anything tangible. You have Tucker and Fuentes, but I don’t think either will lead it. Vance is an option, and people think Tucker will throw his support behind him in the end.
But I wouldn’t discount this talk of a third party forming. I think many people from the far-right and the far-left see how their parties aren’t interested in their ideas and values. Hence, the rise of the DSA on the left.
I personally would like to see someone throw their middle fingers up to both parties at this point.

The rise of MAGA/AF on the right and the DSA on the left are flip sides of the same coin. The old order of centrist right Republicans and centrists left Democrats is dead. People on both sides are sick of the establishment club that does nothing for the people.

Praying for a man like this to come forward and lead us out of this quagmire.

Yep, bait was taken. The depth of his melt confirmed. He will switch out to say it was glorious for him to say nothing--as he alts out to spread more masshole Jew hating love of TDS.

I mean with Trump it's apparently Trump #1 America #2

watch the deep state try and resurrect some washed up politician like Jeb bush. Greg Abbott will probably throw his hat in the ring too.

Nah, they would just back Rubio.

Seeing politicians 75+ years-old hang on to power with every ounce of their being does not make me feel like they’re doing it for the good of the country.
They say it’s one big club and we’re not in it, but I say frick their club.
Because I’m cynical, I criticize those on this board who carry water for Trump. You shouldn’t carry water for anyone. Be a man, live by your own principles, and don’t let anyone get away with bullshitting you. Whether that’s Trump, Newsome, or the frigging pope. When you tell me that you’re not going to start any wars and you’re going to release the Epstein files, then you better damn do it.
I don’t carry water for anyone, unlike some on this board.

If we end up with any "conservative" 3rd Party of note, then we ate probably screwed and thr Dem will almost certainly win.
The Dems are going to win regardless if we don’t figure out a way to reel back in the disenfranchised MAGA voters. I’m not sure Rubio can accomplish that.
Concerns about his gang of 8 coalition and his attacks on the Tea Party are legitimate.

I think the GOP has to run DeSantis in 28. Vance and Rubio aren't going to be able to get out from under Trump.
I'm not saying Ron will win the primary over one of them, but I think he is the Republican's best chance in the GE.
It is going to be a change election. He has a record to run on outside of this administration and it's better than anyone's record associated with Trump.

I wonder how NeverTrumpers feel entering yet another election in 2028 where they have zero viable candidate or power

It's hard to have confidence in your leaders when they are proven to be hypocrites time and time again. That said, I think the way we choose leaders is more of the issue than the leaders themselves.
We do not live in a meritocracy. We live in a bureaucratic policy making popularity contest that picks champions based on optics and campaign contributions. It's why people have lost trust in D.C. and the hydra of intelligence agencies and media apparatuses.

Yeah didn’t think you had a legitimate answer. You guys say maga is over though.
Everyone exept the few hardcore people know MAGA is dead and Trump killed it. He turned his back on the movement and went headlong in a different direction. But it can be revived, just new blood that will not listen to lobbyist and pick stupid battles.
I predict when the bloodbath happens in November he will drift back to America first not just in words, but in deeds.

DNC announced that South Carolina is their first primary in 2028 election. So, I expect the dems are pushing John ossoff as their guy. So they will schedule primaries to help him. Does the Republicans have anyone who can beat him? Look for some shady stuff in Georgia election in november.

I understand. I could be wrong, but it just seems to me that Rubio has evolved over the years. I'm not a mind reader, so obviously I can't state that with 100% assurance.
The thing is, I think there are some areas of concern with Vance, too. I just wish I knew DEFENITIVELY who the best person for 2028 is. For the sake of the country, I hope we make the right choice 2 years from now.
