Can't give it up. They want that lifetime job and the megaphone should they feel the need to shout. HIs personality is not what a public servant should be. I'd predict he will move more left as time goes by. It's what he needs for constant attention he so desires.

He probably lost on purpose. He'll spend the next two years campaigning in the news media, raising money and explaining his principles without having to vote on said principles. Then he'll run for president as a centrist Republican man of principle, ala Mitt Romney. He'll have the support of Carlson, Kelly, Fuentes, Owens, et al. If he wins, he'll reveal that he was a Massachusetts leftist all along.
