Wow, cool, I did not know that. Since I’m a citizen and taxpayer too, here’s some advice for you:
Shut it.

I think Bregman is disappointed and hurt in Trump's Charlottesville response. That hurt him. Also the migrant situation on the border hurt Bregman because a lot of his teammates are Latino.

Boo F Ing HOO. He was "HURT" by the Charlottesville "response". I wasn't aware a ton of Dominicans were affected by not being able to illegally enter the country. Try again snowflake Bregman.

If the two endorsed TX Democrats, would that change voters' opinions on candidates?

It certainly changes my opinion on the celebrities. The candidates? Lol. I don’t get my political opinions from someone who can swing a bat, field a grounder, sing a song, or pretend they’re someone else.

Don't care anymore about Pop either way. Stopped watching when Tim retired.

Everyone can have their opinion, just leave it to Twitter and such. No one cares to hear that shite during press conferences.

What sort of response is this to his reply? It doesn't address a single point he made. They are sports figures. Only idiots would let those people sway their opinion.

Do celebrity endorsements matter?

Search “James Woods,” “Alec Baldwin,” “Kanye West,” and “Taylor Swift” on the Poli Board and then read this thread about how celebrity opinion doesn’t matter to this board.

Celebrity endorsements usually only make dislike somebody.

I am pretty ambivalent towards Taylor Swift but she went ahead and said that people that vote for Blackburn are racist, anti-LGBT, and ok with abuse of women, lower pay for women and a bunch of other false equivalencies. She just made shite up from what people have told her to interpret from votes. If she just said, I support Phil B, and left it at that, I’m cool. Another typical person in Hollywood.

I like Chris Pratt. If Chris Pratt says he’s voting for a democrat because it matches his values and leaves it at that, I still like Chris Pratt. I disagree with him but I still like him. When they come out and namecall the other side I stop liking them.

Why would a celebrity’s opinion matter? They spend their entire career acting like someone they’re not

No one is saying they SHOULDN’T voice their opinion if they’re a Dem in TX, we’re just saying it doesn’t sway our own opinion.

I really wouldn't care if they were vocal with their opinions but I also don't care enough to hear their personal political opinions. That goes for all athletes and celebrities. What makes your opinion so important that you need to leverage your platform to share those opinions?
