If Trump cared about the country he would be enjoying retired life in FL while Ron decimates the left across the country just like he did in FL.

But this just confirms the only thing Trump cares about is himself. A man that would be in his late 70s and an instant lame duck just can't give up the spotlight.

Being the least likely to win the General election, Trump should be the one who doesn't run. However, he is too much of a narcists to do that and his delusional, uneducated supporters will help elect another Democrat in 2024.

Let me try to comprehend... caring about America means keeping a low profile and not throwing a hat in the ring, and letting that fool Trump get the GOP nomination uncontested and lose in a landslide to Biden in 2024?

Apparently DeSantis doesn't give a d*m about America.

Oh, FFS.

1. Response threads are just pathetic and sad.

2. A LOT of Republicans see Trump as being unelectable in the General Election, and they would have turned to SOMEONE.

Nope. If Trump cared, he wouldn't run. Time for someone new.

Exactly. And lately Trump has been all over the place-- last Wednesday he backed the Mouse; by Saturday he waxed moralistic over opposing any "woke Mouse." Trump is the ultimate claymation figure.

How is Trump less likely to win than DeSantis when Trump is polling higher in every metric?

Trump is doing pitifully in deep analytic polling in swing states.

He is above 50% in almost every poll.

No one has ever lost the primary polling where Trump is polling. Ever!

Trump has more baggage and has substantially lower favorability ratings among Independents and Suburbanites than DeSantis does.

He is only far ahead in Republican only polls. Desantis is polling the same or better than Trump against Biden. Once Independents & moderates get to know DeSantis, he will begin to poll much better than Trump against Biden. The Dems know this & so does Trump, which is why he will try to avoid debating him.

He is running as a back up to Trump in 2024. He knows he won't get the nod but wants to differentiate himself from Trump and be a back up should the Dems find a way to pin a felony on Trump.

I think Ron De Santis is a typical Rino but appreciate what he is doing in 2024.

Trump is the RINO. Give me someone who will at least attempt to be a fiscal conservative. Trump had four years and failed.

He has no choice. He is a Bush puppet from Guantanamo and Iraq. If he denied his owners they would turn on him just like they have Trump who refused to bend the knee to the deep state. Deep State Santis is just an empty suit.
