Don’t forget Cornyn spent 10x the money Paxton did in the primary and runoff. Trying to understand the fake outrage about this election.

That's actually a really good point.

It's very Hillary "it was her turn" from the Cornyn camp

Just curious since this board has threads asking where to place blame. Seems like primarying a career politician and having a chance was better than none

You have to appeal to more than the base in a general election

You mean the same Talarico he's voting for?

Those same republicans who voted for Cornyn would vote for him again instead of either voting Dem or not voting at all instead of voting for Paxton and he would get majority of maga voters who would never vote Dem

bullshite. Only excuse is if you didn’t get your way and stayed home like a puss. Never knew staunch conservatives were such babies and mad a RINO senator of 24 years is in their platform of conservatism.

Not sure.

It’s said that Paxton’s problem is not democrats but rather members of his own party who hate him.

If Cornyn was the candidate it looks like plenty members of his party hate him too, especially evidenced by the beating he got in the primary.

There is no guarantee that Cornyn would not be in the same spot Paxton is against little Jimmy.

I guess the argument is that the petty rinos wouldn't have voted for the dem if their hapless empty suit had sleepwalked to the primary win he apparently was so entitled to.

He couldn’t beat him because Trump took him out at the knees

Did the same with Cassidy

Texas hasn't elected a Democratic senator since 1988.

You're so emotional

This isn't just a Paxton issue. Both parties consistently nominate people better suited for primaries than the general

I still would have to see Talarico elected to believe it. It would be like Roy Moore losing to Doug Jones in Alabama

Paxton was going to win with or without Trump

If this is actually a serious question, it’s because 0% of the people who voted for Paxton would vote for Talarico in the general. Maybe 10-20% of Cornyn voters could vote for Talarico. Unlikely, but possible for sure.

Didn't Paxton offer to drop out if they passed the save act? Then the slimes spent what...was it 135 million to save the old goat Cornyn.

Yeah and all him and the others who got taken out had to do is support what 77 million voters wanted. Now Texas is looking at a tranny senator.

its not the RINOs; Republicans are gonna vote for paxton at about ninety-five percent

it's the independents; they were never gonna vote fpr paxton

Independents decide the election
Combined with party turnout and Ds are motivated Rs are less so

Wrong. If Texas elects Talarico it shows that migrants and dem transplants from other states have taken over Texas. Not a good thing at all.
