ICE detains man who arrived as a child refugee fleeing WW2 73 years ago,
quote:So, at a time when folks are screaming for the Epstein files, and attempting to link scurrilous rape charges to innocent men, the same folks are screeching about an actually convicted rapist getting deported?
He was arrested as a young man in 1966 for larceny and then again in 1967 for receiving stolen goods.
While he was incarcerated, an immigration hearing officer in 1968 ruled that those convictions were considered acts of moral turpitude that violated the country’s immigration laws. He ordered Bojerski to be deported.
But when both Poland, which was under communist rule at the time, and West Germany refused to take him, he was released from prison and remained in the United States.
Bojerski’s efforts to have the deportation order tossed out failed. Still, in 1969, immigration authorities issued another order that allowed him to be released from custody and apply for employment authorization, Stoller said.
Bojerski was in trouble with the law again after that, convicted in 1972 of rape and sentenced to three years in prison. He was released in 1975 and placed on parole for one year.

That is not a good look, EC.

My grandfather passed away on his 70th birthday. That was 57 years ago. I never knew until a month before my mom passed away when she shared that he never became a US. citizen. She didn't know herself until she performed years of genealogical searched on both her's and my dad's family history.
He came from Bornholm, an island off the coast of Denmark. She had believed her entire life that he came through Ellis Island but instead came through Canada. He was registered and all. Had a yearly meeting with immigration services. But never became a citizen. Nobody knows why.

This guy sounds like a upstanding "citizen" no wonder Euro posted this heart-breaking story of a war refugee.

I have zero problem with this. I want to see every single person here illegally shipped out ASAP. I don’t care about their sob story.

So he fled WW2 during the Korean war?

I feel for him, but to deport 40 million there are going to be some 'not so bad' names on the list.

A Eurocat link. He has been here over two decades and still can't adequately post a link or quote a damn story. Just a blind linking monkey at this point.

When you have an uncivilized immigration policy for numerous years expect an uncivilized response.
You exploited immigrants for political gain. This is your fault. Soak it up.
