people who are upset that they lost their jobs on a whim
You need to be honest. They were not let go on a whim. They were let go because their positions were unnecessary. It was not advantageous to the taxpayer to continue paying them for so little work. Many of these jobs were created under Biden to say he was combating unemployment. These were never jobs with a bona-fide purpose.
Of course, you'll focus on the one park ranger while ignoring the 100 office employees whose entire day consisted of checking emails the same way you ignore the victims of crime while crying about how the criminals are mistreated.

If you are relying on retirement and pension, you have already lost.

Real people actually lost their earned pensions in the 90s thanks to Pedowillie.

And I heard the movie "Fallen Down" was based on Bush 1 cutting the defense jobs in California.
First thing life is not fair and no one is entitled to anything.

fwiw, If you're working a job that you know isn't necessary, you should either find a new job or prepare to invariably be let go.
How does anyone know what jobs have been cut? Who decides if they are unnecessary?
I bet someone can make an argument that each of our jobs is unnecessary. It’s such a subjective metric.

Because they had a "job" that was unnecessary, and I had to pay their salary

This sounds like a subjective statement TBH.

You do realize that they were not paying into Social Security and so this leaves them with nothing for retirement?
Whether they are or aren't, do they not know this when they sign on the with the gov't? And your claim implies no gov't worker should ever be let go. I mean, how do they plan for retirement?

Why are you seeking this stuff out? Help me understand the obsession with laughing at strangers
Because it's not true, so he' calling them out.
I'm calling bullshite that he keeps hearing this over and over. The fact that it's not true, so he's calling them out doesn't answer why he is seeking this out. He could have at least posted an article or video or something to support the claim that he keeps hearing this. I haven't heard it once. I also haven't seeked it out though.

That sucks. But they were also taking advantage of a bullshite system that was designed as welfare with benefits. It's way overdue that the bureaucracy was curtailed. So many jobs simply exist because it keeps the money circulating.

Because too many of these strangers have supported policies that stripped jobs from others. Many federal employees supported the ending of work on the Keystone XL Pipeline for example. They knew that this policy would cost pipeline workers their jobs but they just didn't care. Turnabout is fair play.

My point is the hypocrisy of people crying about government workers who lost their jobs but say nothing when people in the private sector lost jobs during COVID or any other mass layoffs from businesses.
Love this board with its made up facts to support bs claims. This whole thread is based on something that is hardly even happening. Then here's another post of bs. No one is hardly even crying about federal workers losing their jobs, except probably the ones losing their jobs. People were very upset during covid and voiced lots of disagreement with how covid was costing people jobs. This board was full of it then. I don't support anyone losing a job for bullshite reasons. The government has tons of jobs that need to be cut and also tons that need to be kept. So many of you are making up fake claims from this stuff. Stop watching mainstream media.

This is a very fair point.

Well, that's the point man. There's way too much money spent on propping up a house of cards. That's one of the reasons we're $36 Trillion in debt. It's a ponzi scheme, but the government can just keep printing and borrowing money with no intention of ever paying that debt.
That's not a sustainable platform. In a system like we currently have, it rewards irresponsible behavior. Why save money, when it will be worth substantially less every year?

Retirement can be carried over. They probably have to work an additional seven years beyond what they would have to get the same benefits, but hey, they ain't been working anyway.

You are a great tool for the Democrat midterm campaign ads. You're talking about regular people here, many of which voted for Trump, and you're celebrating catastrophe. In our economy, very few people can withstand a sudden disruption in income. All of them vote. As do their friends and their family members.
Get out of this echo chamber and realize the left is not just looking at Trump and Elon here, it's all of MAGA, and they are taking note of how you celebrate the demise of others. Just like the right has not and will not let go of covid insanity, de-banking, cancel culture etc, because of its depravity and cruelty, the same is true right now for people on the left. Woke ended up decimating thousands of people directly. These current policies are going to affect millions.
Millions of additional votes for Dems and about 10 senate seats will probably be close along with 50 or so House seats. Dems win a huge majority of these close races. If they take Congress, you know the RINOs will vote with them. They'll have a veto-proof majority against Trump.
Stop helping the Democrats.
