Here is the video of what Trump said...

There are other videos out there but the liberals edited it to cut the whole comment from Trump... They are some slimy bastards...

Social Security benefits always come under attack but, for 1) American workers have never had a sayso as to how much they have to pay out of their pay checks and 2) Federal employees have their own retirement program but does anyone have any idea how those benefits are calculated? 3) why are they considered better benefits? Much like the Federal employee's health plan?

My favorite part of social security is that after a lifetime of paying into it… you die… and your spouse gets $255

I'm not sure I understand your comment here. I've been paying that tax for 35
Years frankly if I were in Congress...the first bit of legislation I would sneek in to the 1000 page bill is that no international funding can occur to soc SEC is fully funded. No dollars leave the country till those that paid their taxes get their full due. I don't hear that soc SEC is only going to have 60..65% of the pay when I retire when we can send 140 billion to Ukraine

Agree. Just give us our money back plus interest in a lump sum.

"You" must have worked for less than minimum wage during his life time.

Hell I'd take 75%, which is far more than I will probably see down the road.

So far all he talked about was the waste in SS.

It’s a shame that he seems to have dropped the “waste, fraud, and abuse” tagline from his speeches etc.

Effective and true for basically every facet of every level of government in this country.

I've paid the max for decades. Give me back that money that was stolen from me, plus 5% compounded, which is less than if I'd have invested it, and you'll never hear from me about it again..

We could also quit giving perfectly healthy young women incentives for having babies out of wedlock, but that ain't happening either.

It wasn't a bank deposit. "Your money" is gone. Congress already stole it and spent it elsewhere. You can have one of the intragovernment IOUs though if you want.

Sorry. I contributed tons of money to it and may need some of that income in old age. If I don’t get that income, then give me all the money I put into it and I will invest all of it wisely

This! If the government is going to frick all of us who have been paying into the system for decades, then give us our money back.
