It seems like most of my family have flipped over to support DeSantis. I believe 95% of them voted for Trump in the last election. Now 75% of that group are now supporting DeSantis. They said they've been on the DeSantis train before Trump got indicted twice.

Did anyone else notice a change in their family's political support in the last 6 months? I would have the primary as a toss up if Super Tuesday was next week.

Nope. My family is not influenced by DOJ corruption. They never believed the Russian collusion crap and do not believe the indictment crap.

Wait, you and your circle believe that indictment shite?

We've been in New Hampshire for a few weeks. The Florida plates have brought a lot of discussion about our governor. The general consensus has been that they like what he's been doing and they hope to see some debates.

What does DeSantis have to do with the DOJ? ... just wondering about Always Trumper logic.

Not family per se. But, I'm seeing the opposite. The friends who were talking Desantis a month or two ago, have stopped. I think Desantis supporters, in general, are suffering from a low moment. Who knows if it rebounds, but just reading the tea leaves of my circle, it sounds like there's an assumption that he can't win.

My family likes DeSantis, but as plan B.

Interestingly, I had a number of family members (that aren’t political in nature) state that they are supporting Trump. They said that his being railroaded, coupled with how the Biden crime syndicate goes unpunished, has put them squarely behind Trump. One person, who has stated repeatedly that he HATES Trump, said that he is going to vote for him in 24 (he didn’t vote in 16 or 20 because he truly despises Trump).
It was a rather shocking revelation.

In short, Trump picked up at least two votes that he didn’t get last time.

I wonder if the Dems realize that the witch hunt is helping him in the primary?

Not DeSantis, but the DeSantis bros.

"OMG! DJT is being indicted by the proxies of the DOJ radical leftists! This is bad! I'm scared! We need to vote for someone else! I'm so afraid! I don't want to vote for someone with the stink of a 9-year deep state attack on him! I'm so scared! I'm going to vote DeSantis to play it safe because I'm an 80-year-old boomer!" = you

Why didn't you answer the question I asked you, PUSSSY?

Not really. More concerned with making sure the ones that don't care, care a bit.

I do have a Latino buddy that has seen his family and friends, some in FL, start to question Desantis for what they see as him turning on Trump.

I spent this past holiday weekend on a few LA waterways. There was more "frick Joe Biden" flags hanging off piers and boat houses than I've ever seen before.

My guess is that these flag flyers aren't switching to the Desantis camp.

The only rationale is that "the DEMs" feel like their best chance with Biden is vs Trump ... replay of 2020 ... Trump getting the DEM base out.

I'm sure they do. But, they still hold hope that the attack will be fruitful and remove him from the race. I think they knew before most that Trump was probably going to beat Biden so they needed to take him out.

Now they are seeing the same shift in polling everyone is seeing. Cortez from Desantis' camp referenced the latest polling. Paul Ryan came out acknowledging he could win. Liz Cheney. McCarthey. Obviously the Dems are seeing it as you can see the shift against Biden. It's just too many people all at once to not think the numbers are now starting to paint a pretty clear picture.
