New York has always been one of the biggest feeders to Florida when this state has booms.
Very few people here with very deep roots. A few cracker country people left but most are 2/3 generations max.
I've lived in NYC and upstate and you have to realize that the state becomes radically different ideologically when you get 15 miles outside the city. Most of New York is beautiful and relatively urban. A lot of people that move here are not from New York City.

I went to HS in Orlando (lived there many years) - I used to love Orlando but it has turned into a woke, beta, snowflake pile of garbage. Live in Atlanta now and absolutely love it.

Huntsville, AL, has a lot of northerners moving in. This city has always been unique in AL, due to military, federal employees, NASA, high tech, research etc. It has changed tremendously the past decade.
Nashville, TN, is another city being invaded by northern folks. It has also changed a great deal.
These cities are losing their southern charm.

Nashville is screwed and has been for some time, but I don’t know how much of it is due to transplants. “Country” stars are woke as hell these days and intermingling with LA/Hollywood, and the art/music world has always leaned left because feels rule the day.
