Nobody is asking about a population collapse.

The question is - why does population need to keep growing in order for an economy like ours to prosper? You argued it was true, that population needs to grow.

Agreed. Everything was better in the past with fewer people. The '50s was basically the golden age... right after the world population just got reduced by 80 million, and the US population was half of what it is today. Half the population and women didn't need to work yet, so maybe a quarter of the workforce and that was before automation. No GMOs or steroid chickens. What a glorious time that must have been. Now all these dufuses want to keep doubling the population every several decades. It's unsustainable. There is not enough organic vegetables and free-range livestock to go around.

Replacement rate will probably affect black people more in the distant future than it does white people.

I can see Hispanics eventually being the majority in our country. Surpassing white and black (they already surpass black people).

I don't think Hispanic majority (if they also control the levers of power) will be that much different from white majority in regards to white people. But ghetto black people... whew. Hispanics have no Hispanic guilt. They don't give a frick about slavery that happened hundreds of years ago here. they aren't going to put up with the ghetto shite. I also don't see them allowing in an unchecked infinite wave of africans or Haitians. Because they know better.

In an ideal situation, manufacturers would innovate new products driving growth because the new products are much better than their predecessors.
