Or - here's a novel thought - provide your own when you're old by saving when you're young. That way you can pay less by living a healthy life.

If the population collapses the economy goes with it. Demand destruction. You think you want less people but have no idea what that entails.

I don't think anyone is discussing fewer.

need more people to buy houses so we can build more houses

need more people so they dont import more "replacements"

need more people to pay for out ponzi retirements/social welfare programs

I’m not being snarky, but does that mean our economy can only function with infinite growth?

How is that realistic?

I’ve never agreed with it either. I’m all for less people and more forest.

Our "leaders" are cowards and will kick the can to the next person. If they cut programs they lose elections. We are truly screwed.

Yes you stupid frick. I’m
So tired of this retarded debate. The only answer is to break this system of welfare. Yes I want fewer people and a forced reckoning of the entitlement system. How do you not get that?

You only have to go back to the early 90s and the population was around 250 million. Now we’re pushing 350 million, largely because of a lot of terrible people that don’t belong here and who will destroy our country. There’s nothing wrong with a declining population. And I don’t give a frick about the SS ponzi scheme.

God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

Whether you care or not, it is genetically ingrained in all living things to reproduce so the species can survive and prosper.

Really is as simple as that.
