Then he digs up names of leaders most people have no idea who they are and suggests they are on his side.
No one cares man, just talk about what’s in front of everyday Americans.

Trump is much better at debating Republicans than he is Democrats. Republicans typically debate issues and don't lure him into emotional tirades.

Cruz and Rubio had Trump in a frenzy at the tail end of the 2016 debate schedule. They were laying traps for him left and right. Rubio even used the same line Kamala used last night about him inheriting hundreds of millions of dollars, which is a lie.

I disagree. My take is that she used her time to bait rather than to cement her positions on key issues, clarify her stances, and propose real solutions to benefit the country.

In no way did she clarify her positions on the issues that matter to Americans and this country. No one knows her any better after the debate and where she stands as they did before.

That's a problem.

Trumps's problem is that he took the bait on a lot of things and should have redirected back to the issues where he is strongest. The opportunities were there to obliterate her, but he didn't capitalize - that's facts.

I could go on ad nauseaum, but those are my focus points.

This.

This take is also coming out of major media pundits (see my OP) and focus groups. You don’t ask for a second debate if you don’t need one. She didn’t do enough to define herself or separate herself from Biden.

I’ve heard and read about a handful of undecided voters in focus groups saying exactly this.

Of course it was a strategy to get under his skin. In prep they said Kamala say this, and he will do that. And he did. Just debate prep.

Because baiting him is all she’s got.

Her calling now for another debate is pure cockiness and bravado from getting thru the first one. If he takes her up on it, but demands that this time it be on Fox, where she can’t demand the questions in advance and won’t have 2 moderators to help her gang up on him, she’ll fold like a cheap suit.

His core belief is exactly what we need for recovering the American spirit.

Bu he is no politician, which is a benefit - except when it comes to down and dirty politics.

That’s weird spin.

She’s asking for another debate because she knows (and everybody now knows) she’s better than him at this. It’s clearly an advantage.

Why wouldn’t she want to hang him out to dry again for the whole country to see?

Ok.

Since she’s clearly so superior at this and has all the advantages, surely she’d have no problem doing the next one on Fox, right?

This is what Trump should have hit her with. Democrats have controlled the government for 12 out of 16 years. Out of those 16 years, which 4 years were the American people better off? I think EVERYBODY knows the answer to that.

Classic cope, but sure! Nothing says loser denial like complaining about the refs. Nobody forced Trump to take the bait and rant like a loon every. single. time.

He did mediocre, he needs to be disciplined and not take the hooks Harris and the Mods presented. Just tie her to her policy positions and performance the last 4 years.

Huh? He crushed Hillary in their debates, especially the 'you'd be in jail' one.

Easy for you to say; you’ve got nothing to lose.

I’d be interested in seeing what she would say about that. If she’d accept that, then kudos to her.

But you know she won’t. She wouldn’t agree to it the first time.

SHE LOST

hey if she wants to get RAILED on NEWSMAX with greg kelly and others as mods then we can really expose her even more on her failed policies and her flip flops.

but frick CNN, ABC, NBC or CBS. no need to ever go back on those north korean state run networks.

Reasonable take for Todd. Trump did not do well, but he's never been a great debater, just great at landing one-liners. At the same time, missed opportunity for Kamala who went back and forth between memorized lines and attacks on Trump, but never defended her own policies.

Draw.

Hard to keep calm with the moderators allowed Harris to interrupt Trump and gave more minutes to Harris.

Her facial expressions and tilting her head on the back of her hand like a HS yearbook were strange behaviors.

Also, she was wearing what I guess is stage makeup? Idk. Anyway, she looked super light last night.
