Turn your energy into promoting legal immigration, the way it should be. I think we need to get off this slippery slope narrative of NO immigration at all. The GOP needs to encourage immigration the legal way. I think the left feels a lot of GOP/Trump supporters are totally against legal immigration. Which is the law of the land and should be obeyed.

I have said it before and I will continue to say it: I am a legal immigrant to this country and proud American citizen for many years. It took our family 10 years to obtain a visa to LEGALLY enter this country, and 5 more years to obtain our citizenship. I do not subscribe to hyphenated designations, and I fully support selective, legal immigration based on the needs and foundations of this country. My family did not ask for, nor receive, any amount of government assistance. My father had a skilled job within 3 weeks of arriving in the country. Us children now have advanced degrees and families that are contributing members of society.
Any sovereign nation must, and has a right to, establish and protect its borders as well as create immigration policies that make sense for its citizens and its citizens alone.

My Mexican neighbors are very pro life. The wife is pregnant with their 5th child right now. They're good neighbors though and in an ironic twist he has a white dude mow his lawn.
