Put country over party on economic issues, which cost him reelection

Showed restraint in Desert Storm, not falling into the trillion dollar quagmire his son did

Got the Americans with Disabilities Act passed

Yes he is and was. He navigated through the end of the Cold War. A lesser man could have blown that up. Poland and those countries could have wound up much worse today.

His decision to backtrack on his guarantee to help out the Kurds in northern Iraq led to the slaughter of 100k people.

He promoted NAFTA. Said to those to lose their losing jobs, we will train you for the jobs of the future.

The fricking AP can't avoid ripping him in their obit. Do you forget who writes history?

He caved to the fricking democrats on taxes and they put a shiv in his back.

No, he got the axe because the economy wasn't working well...

A recession and rising unemployment will do that to a guy.

I’d like to remember him as a great man and American in every facet. Unfortunately, I cannot get over him voting for HRC in 2016. I try to convince myself that dimentia had a lot to do with this, but still cannot get over it.

He handled that well. Got shite on by the MSM for not gloating about the fall of the Berlin Wall, but he played his cards right.

Nope. Got us involved in wars in Panama and Iraq that we shouldn't been involved in (the latter triggering radical Islamic terrorists to want to come after us when we put American boots in Saudi Arabia).

Raised taxes after promising not to.

Destroyed the legacy of Reagan and was a free trading globalist.

Probably not because he wasn’t president but for one term and didn’t do a whole lot. But he will be remembered as a good man who served honorably as president.

He lost to Bill Clinton and was a One Term GOP POTUS.

That's not the stuff of Legendary Greatness. It's the stuff of being a weak competitor who gets punched out easily and then thanks the Victor for the punch.

But, of course, in every Dem's eyes, he's the PERFECT GOP POTUS.

I blamed him for giving us Clinton. He coasted toward the end of the 92 election and allowed Clinton to catch and pass him. Sorry he died and all but I always held a grudge for that.
