How to manage Houthis

The US military needs to be directed to send a message to the Houthis, that that the next time they shoot at a ship, a major power station in Yemen will be blown to hell. The next time they shoot at a ship, 2 major power stations will be destroyed . The next time 4 power stations will be destroyed and so on. Might want to include water supplies and Harbor in the list.
The Saudia's tried responding for a number of years, but just did not escalate appropriately.
Biden's last 6 months of shooting at donkey carts has only encouraged the Houthi

It's a similar situation to Hamas in Gaza. They don't give a shite about civilian suffering, in fact they see it as a propaganda bonus. So we could do that, but it just gets negative world attention while the Houthis continue to roll their rocket launchers out their caves and take potshots.
I don't have an answer. Before the Saudis, the Egyptians tried to pacify Yemen and it it cost them about 20,000 casualties in a few months.

If we’re talking solely based on piracy, burn their ships. Otherwise, don’t let them enter our country and leave them be.

You joke but it wouldnt be that hard to secure a little russian nuclear material float it to shore courtesy of an ohio class.
Just doesn't make sense really.

Never issue damage threats,,,,,,they do it once, you disproportionally dismantle vital infrastructure, and then you warn them to try it again and leave it at that,,,,,you make it evidently clear that the next time, the ancestors will talk about what you did for 10,000 years,,,,,BUT that’s not how American diplomacy works, thus the Houtis keep shooting

They bombed the country indiscriminately and inflicted quite a lot of pain. They problem is that it just doesn’t work. You can’t break a people by bombing them into submission.
And the Houthi are a warlike people who love fighting.
The military solution is invading, or paying someone else to fight them. But then you’re just at war with them for a decade, and you’ll probably quit and go home before you defeat them.

No, and that’s unattractive claim to make. You tarnish yourself by saying things like that.
They have a warriors culture and they believe in sacrifice.

But, can not the US Military trace a rocket back to its launch spot. And vaporize an area in short order. An area big enough they couldn’t escape in time

The answer would have been to stop bowing down to the MIC about 25 years ago, and instead of creating more $1M missiles designed to go after other $1M missiles and $50M planes, create $10k countermeasures for $10k drones and rockets, so we could effectively create a screen line for shipping. We are launching a missile and in its place we should be deploying 100 countermeasures of a different varieties. With the economic prowess we have, all Houthi attacks should seem futile and pointless.
If we gave your local high school robotics and computing clubs about 0.00000000000001% of the resources we gave the MIC, the Houthis would have given up by now.

This is the problem with death cults… your proposal is giving them exactly what they want

No. Or it would have already been done. Everywhere.

Have no fear, Congress is working with the pharmaceutical industry to develop and deploy a Houthi Vaccine.
They are only in the preliminary stages but already are advising everyone take the 5 booster shots.

The Houthis started as a group of Shiites opposed to the Sunni led government in Yemen. Then they got on the bad side of the Saudis. Then Iran stepped in and sent Hezbollah to help them because they hate the Saudis. Oh, and they all hate Israel so they fight alongside Hamas as well.
Americans killing a bunch of Houthis and breaking there things isn’t going to solve much of anything. There’s always going to be another faction/sect/militia that wants a fight because that’s just the way ME is wired. Violence and score-settling is the norm. Peace is the exception.

We should respect that culture and aid them in making that sacrifice.
But, in truth, I'm sick of the US jumping into every piddly-dink little war and playing world super cop. Just withdraw from the region and let them kill each other. We were a much better and healthier nation when we didn't run all over the world trying to solve everyone else's problems.

A cheaper way would be to provide them with really cheap and plentiful hashish.
