You guys are aware that we are shooting missiles at Russian cities right? So why is so stupid to ask what we should do if they do exactly the same?
Also, you are aware that ATACMS are nuclear capable. So every one shot over Russian soil might be carrying a nuke as far as they know.
The Russians warned us when they sent their new missile. They told us it was was coming and was without explosives.
If a single icbm was launched at the US, with warning, I seriously doubt a full nuclear response would happen.

If you do not think we have ways of early detection, defense counter measures, and equally devastating attack measure already in place you my friend live in fantasy land. The US government typically doesn’t release advanced military technology until the need to do so arises. There is no need to currently .
