its not an issue I care that deeply aboutquote:Why?
That's telling.
Face it, you are now a RINO.

You said you don't care about the issue. That's why I responded.

Because he just said that a pro-life governor passing a bill allowing abortions to 6 weeks was too harsh, and wants people to be able to get abortions for a longer period of time.
That's not what he said. He said he has to do what he has to do but some people in the pro-life movement feel it's too harsh.

I'm against abortion in all cases, period.
However, I recognize that I'm in a group of about 10% of the US population, at large, and even among a pretty small minority amongst people who describe themselves as "pro-life."

How many pro life people here think 6 weeks is “too harsh”?quote:
I don't care so much about "harsh". But 6-weeks make no sense.
If you are an anti-abortion zealot, anything other than "conception" is blasphemy. If you support a limited right to early-term abortion, 6-weeks is so early that most women don't even know they are pregnant, so it is useless.

I'd love to see a list of people in the pro-life movement who think 6 weeks is too harsh. If only there was a book that could help those in the pro-life movement know God's thoughts on abortion.
I guess we can wait and see what the chosen one declares, I'm sure he will give us a real answer soon. No way he will hedge on something this important.

I’ve heard the heartbeat of a baby at 6 weeks. A baby is a baby even at 6 weeks. Either you recognize the person, or you don’t. No need for 1st trimester vs. 2nd trimester vs. 3rd trimester.

16% of a normal pregnancy.
That gets to the kicker. At 2 to 3 weeks into her 6 week "pregnancy," the girl may not even be pregnant.

“harsh” is rape/incest.
Or the health of the mother. That would be the only reason to have an abortion. If whores don’t want to get pregnant, just close your legs

This is and will remain a state issue.

I used to be pro life, but now I think abortion should be legal up to 80 years after birth.
Wait, how old is Biden now? OK maybe 85 years after birth.

The only abortions should be in cases of rape/incest,nonviable pregnancies, severe genetic defects, or if the life of the mother is threatened. But, using it as general birth control? No...way too many contraceptives available to justify the procedure there.

You shouldnt get a grace period to kill someone.

I have to believe it is the "common ground" to try to define the heartbeat law many politicians have cited, tried to push. By using 6 weeks, you have a sound measurement instead of the argument of whether or not you heard the heartbeat. Leave it at heartbeat, and a skilled ultrasound tech can make sure you don't hear one for a few more weeks.
I guess another side of the argument is that it's far enough after the first missed period for someone that is regular; there would have been signs. But that argument would just prove this law was most likely defined by a group of men with very little female input

He doesn't look at life as anything other than a philosophy question. He seems to really enjoy murdering of babies.

I think 6 weeks is too harsh for those babies who are killed. I want a full ban.
