Also care to link any prominent groups of the pro life movement saying so?

The absolute only controversy I know of as being “harsh” is rape/incest.

I’m just concerned about gaslighting from the left has started to set in.

I am not really pro-life or pro-choice, its not an issue I care that deeply about, so I guess I'm not the target audience.

I think 15 weeks is about right, 6 is a little harsh.

HOWEVER: It is up to the voting public of that State to decide what is right for them, to a certain degree. I think anything after the 2nd trimester should never be up to anyone and should be a nationwide ban outside of extreme exigent circumstances.

If you think 6 weeks is too harsh you’re not pro life.

6 weeks too long. It is not the right of man or society to control God's creation.

If you're wearing condoms or on birth control or have a vasectomy, you may as well have an abortion in the eyes of the church as it's all sinful.

Why?

I am conservative on most issues but abortion is just not one I care deeply about like some others.

Is that ok? Trump clearly doesn't care deeply about it either, yet I assume you are going to vote for him. Why is it ok for him and not me?

You don't care that democrats enjoy murdering babies, under the guise of women's "rights" and healthcare? That is telling.

Im not sure why you say Trump doesn't care about this.

Remember the Florida law also has exceptions for Rape and Incest and Life of the Mother was never on the table as an issue, the Mother's Life always comes first.

The real problem for Trump here is he is absolutely going to alienate a lot of GOP voters on this but I don't know who he actually gains. Folks that are in the "I would rather it was 15 weeks instead of 6 weeks" or similar think of abortion as a secondary issue. You have some folks that get squeamish about banning all abortion or the exceptions but not many people get worked up on 6 vs 15.

At the same time there is absolutely a solid group of folks who want all abortion banned and if you include exceptions that's a significant block. They are virtually all Republicans and for many it is a Primary issue above any others. Trump just threw those votes away unless he can come up with a way to fix this, even so some serious damage was done here and he just gave Desantis the high ground on abortion in the GOP Primary.

birth control, condoms, obstinance, morning after pill and you are still getting pregnant and need 6 weeks?

I don't care so much about "harsh". But 6-weeks makes no sense.

It is a reasonable expectation the baby will continue developing and be delivered.....

What reasonable explanation exist do disrupt the process by murdering an innocent baby?

15 is already into that 2nd trimester, IMO that is way too long.

6 weeks may be viewed as a little harsh by some, but it is right around that time of the first ultrasound (either 6 or 8 weeks can't recall). But what makes 6 weeks important is it's before the heartbeat is usually detectable. Again, can't recall if that first ultrasound is at 6 or 8 weeks, but the heartbeats are pretty discernable and I think that's what the 6 week ban is attempting to mirror, the heartbeat rule/law in other areas.

I cared about Roe v Wade because I thought it was horrendous law, horrible legal precedent, and should be a state's rights issue.

I am personally conflicted on the issue. In theory I am pro-life, but it is not an issue I think about a lot.

I'm sorry my thoughts don't 100% march in lockstep with yours.

Because he just said that a pro-life governor passing a bill allowing abortions to 6 weeks was too harsh, and wants people to be able to get abortions for a longer period of time.

How are we supposed to know our deeply held convictions on when abortion is ok? Trump hasn't told us what we believe yet.

If it's a life at conception then 6 weeks is still murder.
