President Trump was just talking about this, and said that the only reason the Democrats can come up with for being against Voter ID is that it's racist. Everybody from Obama to Temu Obama have stated that it is racist.
If you agree with the Democrats and disagree with President Trump, please state your reasoning in this thread regarding why you think requiring Voter ID is a bad idea.

Race has zero to do with voter ID......the only racial aspect is that most minorities vote D!, therefore white man bad!

The Dems know deep down it isn't racist, but they are all in lock step to oppose any type of Voter ID because this is how they have set up the system to cheat. They have to cheat.

What % of voting age legal citizens don’t have some form of ID in 2026? It has to be a small single number
Make the requirement, mandate that states have to provide old people that don’t drive anymore a free id to replace the drivers license and let’s see how the turnout looks

Surely by now there would be a mascot for this issue.
We should be seeing one or more people in tv ads attesting to their personal hardships over why racism is the only thing preventing them from obtaining any of the valid forms of ID to vote.

I do, too. They pretend that both black and brown people aren't capable of obtaining I.D. If one drills down on their so-called "logic" they are practically saying that white people know how to procure ID but minorities don't.
If it was being stated the other way around, I certainly wouldn't take it as anything other than a ridiculous insult.

Not only is it not racist, I believe, in addition to requiring a PICTURE ID, voting should only be allowed in-person and done on a paper ballot, with the only exception being for military personnel stationed overseas. In addition to that, I think we should do like they did in the first election in Iraq and once someone casts their vote, they have to dip their finger in dye so they can’t vote again.

There's absolutely nothing racist about it.
The way to do it is to require a national ID with funding that's free for every eligible voter. Then they have nothing to complain about (they'll find something, though)

The last time the popularity for voter ID was checked, it was wildly popular. A majority of people, across all races, want it.

You must have a valid ID to get into the Democrat National Convention every 4 years. You also have to have an ID to enter Obama's presidential library (although I don't know why anybody would want to go there).
