Or in the hood they have a barcode chart that matches things they can purchase and they don’t scan their actual items

Work requirement

What dey been tryna say is how can dey work when they have 12+ chirren and not one of the 12+ baby daddy works a lick? Most of em incarcerated anyway so they can't even babysit.

In any event, the work requirement was included in the BBB and went into effect the 1st of the year. The list of exemptions from the work requirement grows every day, however. Shocking...

The majority of people receiving EBT are white. What is this past injustice you speak of?

Now do per capita.

It’s not about deserving it and has nothing to do with past injustices. Poor people do exist and either we let them starve or we feed them.

You want to feed hungry people?
Ok.
But there’s limits. Milk, cheese, rice, beans, veggies. Staples to feed a family with.
I have no issue with that.
Anything extra, chips, crab legs, soda, hotpockets come out of their own money.
You have an issue with that?

Then cancel it, but we're still broke as frick and all the hypocrite Trump supporters just look the other way. EBT is not a huge problem for us, it simply isn't.

Where ever you think we need to start, but spending needs to be reduced somewhere. See Europe for where we end up.

Why? Wasn't your point abt bribing for votes? In that case, the only fact that matters is the raw number of potential voters.

It's a pillar in a dysfunctional society. It's part of a chain reaction that has its tentacles in every other part of the country.

If every boomer died tomorrow, we would have a multi trillion dollar surplus.

Trust me, it's not EBT that's the problem.

It's "a" problem. It's not "the" problem. There are many problems.

And this stupid fixture on "boomers" being the root of all the issues is ridiculous, and intellectually lazy.

I'm of the belief EBT shouldn't be taken at grocery stores at all. The Govt should set up their own EBT stores to disperse necessities - rice, milk, meat, etc instead of.....

Doritos, Snickers, vodka, smokes, twinkies.

The ones paying for it certainly do.

I got two bags of candy, and you have to eat a piece of candy from one of them.

Bag #1 has 20 pieces of candy and 19 are poisoned.

Bag #2 has 100 pieces of candy and 20 are poisoned.

Your stupid arse would eat from bag #1 since it has less poisoned pieces because you think per capita isn't important.

I'm not against EBT, they can live on beans/rice/bread/milk/vegetables/fruit, etc. What I'm NOT for is momma with 6 kids trailing behind her hauling shopping carts full to the brim of ramen noodles, bags of sugar cereal, chips, cases of canned ravioli, koolaid drinks, etc.

100% of all the people that work and pay taxes, yet feel behind.

Even people on EBT should be against it for a simple reason. Do you want your kids and grandkids to live on welfare? That's what happens with EBT. It's easy to break the cycle of poverty in America. Get any job at all. Show up on time and be polite. Then you can move up and become part of the middle class. You can move to a better neighborhood. Your kids will thank you for it.
