How many of you really feel a Civil War is coming?

Civil war or no?

I have always looked at that as a non-reality. I have read and heard people say things of that nature on both sides of the aisle within the past couple years and I always brush it off because it seems so far-fetched and it would be like we learned nothing from our first Civil War.

I know some people want a Civil War, or at least they say so online. I know some people who think it is inevitable. Do you guys really believe truly that we will have a Civil War within the next 30 years, brother against brother, son against father, battle lines drawn across the states, potential outside influence affecting one side or the other?

If there was some kind of Civil War I wonder where the military would fall into place or maybe it would split?

Obviously I think anyone with a brain would never ever ever hope for a second Civil War after how horrific the first one was. So before you comment with something like “I can’t wait for a Civil War!” Really think about how horrible that would be and would you be willing to kill a family member or a loved one in some type of Civil War?

Doesn't need to be a war. A messy divorce will do just fine.

ITT: Lots of LARPing.

No rational person wants that to happen, and no reasonable person thinks that it’s coming. Mainly for this reason:
quote:

all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

And then there’s the fact that Civil War would only make everything worse, and make nothing better.

I think a split is coming. Whether it’s peaceful or not depends on how long people try to hold the union together.

It would be the quickest war on record. Liberals are pussies.

The US will break apart by peaceful—though likely contentious—vote.

Lulz,

you and yours are the abusive psycho in the marriage who wont stop banging whores and doing mountains of blow and now youre blaming your dutiful wife for wanting a divorce and threatening a horrific experience if they go through with it.

Hey, dispshit, stop being a douche and there wont be a divorce!

Need more hungry people to really have a shooting civil war.

I’m like the other poster above that a messy divorce is OK too.

With that said it didn’t take Venezuela too long to devolve into a third world hellhole. Don’t think it can’t happen here too.

I think society collapses and either the result is a balkanization of the US or a one world govt. there will be a lot of violence before the result is concluded

Yay for smaller, weaker entities and every aspect of life being more expensive and less convenient!

Logistically, at least, unlikely. One of the benefits of being fractured in almost every conceivable way.

A Revolutionary type of uprising of likeminded "MAGA" types is more likely.

Considering liberals are the only ones not scared of violence and the conservative side would be treated like N Korea by most of the world it wouldn’t be as pleasant as you think.
