This is a red herring. It has been a half century since Americans were forced to fight.

Lol. Yeah, no one has been forced to fight since the last time they were forced to fight!

Only liberals are afraid. Real men don’t get scared, ever.

I suppose in this case you think Putin is the bully and we are the good guys.

1-Where have you been while the Donbas region has been bombed for the last 8 years?

2- Why is this war one that we NEED to be involved in?

We get involved in every damned war abroad since WW1

Got a 20 year old granddaughter, whom we raised, on active duty with a carrier fighter squadron right now. You better believe I'm worried...and angry.

In my very humble opinion, you worry about the wrong shite.

Can’t control it and not everything in life is fair. Just pray for peace and hope for the best.

And I have 2 sons so I’m nit just talking out of my arse

Wars will not be fought in the same fashion as prior conflicts. The last draft was in 1973. Additionally, there is no "draft" currently unless Congress reinstates it for a National emergency.

Your kids will never see a draft.

We don't have a draft and we aren't sending solders to the Ukraine so I wouldn't put a lot of time and energy into worrying about it. More likely this escalates into a nuke war than conventional one anyway

You would have to have overwhelming support, at least initially, to get a draft going. It takes Congress to authorize it and the President to approve it, that wouldn’t happen unless something really changed the current situation. It’s one of those things you shouldn’t worry about because it’s unlikely, and if it did happen you couldn’t prevent it.

I just completed reading a book on the causes of World War I.
Almost every country involved in Europe had their secretaries of State make attempts to head off the war . The United Kingdom, France, Belgium, and even Austria tried hard to avert the war. The ministers of war and secretaries of state of Germany and Russia had differing goals. The Tsars' ministers basically pestered him into huge troop mobilizations. Kaiser Wilhelm II promoted huge troop mobilizations and was promoting the war. On top of that he he had mental issues.
Point is that at that time there did not exist any strong leader that was against the war and that is our problem now. Biden* is Not a strong leader.

I did 21 years and I'll be damned if they are going to draft my 15 year old son to fight these BS wars. Let the purple haired ones who identify as xe/xer who voted for this shite do it. We'll be living in costa rica under an assumed name

right. just like they said we would only send money and not weapons, until they sent weapons. just like when they said no troops, until the POTATUS told the troops "you'll see when you get there"...

what do you think happens when Ukraine runs out of young Nazis to fight?
