I agree with you guys on a lot of stuff but the anti vaccine stuff is totally weird.
So it's logical to take a vaccine provided by the same government that was complicit in creating (and probably releasing) the virus it's made for?

Wat?
Africa is not one of our major trading partners. What the hell have you been smoking?
Ditto India.
Ditto everywhere.

What kind of pussy gets a vaccine for the common cold?

Oh, so you’re just generally unhealthy and a burden on the health industry. Makes sense.

The easy way to avoid it is to live a healthy lifestyle and have good hygiene. And what moron would get an mrna vaccine for the common cold? Maybe you should live in a bubble?

Because of had the virus and didn’t have any major issues.

I only act that way toward sanctimonious assholes that can't handle when I say no.

I agree with what you’re saying but why would China want to kill off its best customers?
My conspiracy theory is called “ The greatest transfer of wealth in human history “
I need a macroeconomist to help me wrap up the numbers.

I am more concerned about the vaccines than the virus.
You only feel that way because the dipshits on the left turned it into a political game
They were anti-vaxxers until they got Trump out of office.

Wasn’t planning on getting it, but my employer decided to pay all staff that gets it $500, so I said screw it and got the shot.

I’m going to get it on Wednesday. And I hate it.
But my company is going to continue virtue signaling and force me continue to wear my mask without it. And I’m not wearing a mask through the summer again.

I had China virus earlier this year. I'm asthmatic and I've had colds that were worse.
As I recall, there are 5 coronaviruses that are classified as part of the "common cold." A couple of German studies identified one of those as the reason a lot of people had little or no symptoms for covid because it created immunity in those that caught that one.

The real truth.
Why are they paying people to take them? Why such a strong push? For such a non lethal virus..
Why did they suppress alternate treatments?
Something isn’t right and if you don’t see it then I don’t know what to tell ya. Everything maybe cool but I’d be waiting a couple years regardless. What are the long term effects? Truth is...nobody knows....
One thing we do know, covid has quite a lot of nasty long term effects for quite a few people among those who survive it. Some people it doesn't kill, but turns them into a vegetable. That's probably the most dreadful long term effect.
140 million Americans are now fully vaccinated including most of those who were at high risk. That said, pushing people who are at low risk to take the vaccine is a mistake.

Explain this narrative, though. What's the endgame in this scenario?
1. Create virus
2. Create vaccine
3 ... Profit?

Simply cannot understand the anti-vaxx mentality. What are yall gonna do in 2 years when there's an awesome mrna vac for the common cold? Not get that either? Common colds don't cause "major issues" - they just suck and I'm happy to avoid them.
The "common cold" is not really so common.
quote:
It's likely that someday you'll have a close encounter with one of these types:
Rhinovirus
Coronavirus
RSV and parainfluenza
There are also a lot of viruses that doctors haven't identified. About 20%-30% of colds in adults are caused by these "unknown" bugs.
The covid vaccines might work for several of the common cold coronaviruses.
The common cold doesn't often kill people, but the secondary infections can.

What is this supposed to mean? Rhinovirus makes up the largest segment of cold viruses followed by coronaviruses. The former being more mild, generally.
Both account for they lions share of cold infections, for which there are millions every year.

With a 99.5% survival rate....absolutely
That data is not a case of "one size fits all." Some are at high risk while others are at little or no risk. My son and DIL are not in a high risk group and had it early on. It kicked their butts like a nasty flu for two weeks and lingered after that.

Holding strong for now but worried it will be a precondition of the type of jobs I’m interviewing for now (lots of travel and customer visits).
