He makes that shot every time he plays a video game but scaling that roof, hearing folks pointing him out, rushing to get it aimed and hitting a moving milk jug is tough. He goes into this knowing he won’t be tossing his controller at the wall and getting another bowl of Froot Loops before hitting reset for another try. It was a tough shot under the circumstances.

Did I say anything in my post that he was?

With a scoped rifle that’s been sighted in, I’d be embarassed if I was off target by more than 6” at 125 yards.
I plink steel plates at 100 yards with only iron sights on an AR with about 75% accuracy. And I don’t have formal training or consider myself a marksman by any means

From prone position at 450 feet like that? Will hit a quarter 2/3, assuming little to no wind. If this guy was highly trained, he was highly nervous.

I was Army, 1991-1999. I could routinely knock down pop-up targets at the range at 250m & 300m with an M16A2. I generally qualified either sharpshooter or expert, depending upon the kind of day I was having.

Well the SS sniper shot the shooter in head/mouth at probably 150 yards in a high stress situation. Now he had 20K sniper rifle and scope to do it.

Should Trump wear a vest?
Presidents have state of the art body armor. I’m sure it’s available to ex presidents as well.

It wasn't Secret Service incompetence. Securing surrounding buildings have always been part of the plan of protection. The fact they were not secured means some had to be in on the attempt to kill Trump. The democrats responsible. May they all get what they deserve.

Jesus, how do men in this country not know anything about shooting and firearms?
I would have any rifle boresighted better than that, much less actually zeroed.
At that distance, with any rifle caliber over .22 that would be a routine, baseline shot, not to be missed by more than a fraction of an inch.
Stop watching shitty action movies and go to the fricking range.

Dude… 130yards with any basic hunting rifle and scope is a super easy shot. 12year olds can make that shot with ease.
Considering the proximity of the building and simplicity of the shot, it’s a massive failure for SS and whoever planned the security for this event. That rooftop is clearly the best vantage point for an easy shot. How does the SS neglect it?

Bro, incompetence also covers having a great plan in place, but were negligent in carrying it out with absolutely no “holes.” Doesn’t seem like all that much a leap that it could easily happen.

Inside of 6” from the target?
Dude was trained.
I once killed an antelope at 250 yards, shooting a heavy Winchester model 70 270 freehand.
I have zero training.

How good are you shooting from 400 foot?
That's not a Mark Wahlberg sniper type shot. that's a steady 19 year old with a .270 type shot. Not exactly upper echelon difficulty. definitely well within the range of an enormous "whoopsies" if that was unguarded. which. um.. it seems to have been.

I killed a buck at 13 with a 3030 and open iron sights at around that range. You want to aim dead on if you have it sighted in at 100 yards.

Come on man...
If you're saying you think it was spray and pray and he just happened to hit the spot where Trump's brain was when he pulled the trigger, well, I disagree. I think that was probably the first shot. And it was pretty damn accurate considering the dude just climbed his arse up there after running from the parking lot or whatever with a rifle. That was a well aimed shot.
Call it luck, but something intervened right there.
