Dude was trained.

From 133 yds most people can hit a man sized target behind a rifle with a 3-9 scope. With zero training.

That’s why this is baffling that the secret service could allow someone to find a perch at that range. You tell me a guy tried a shot from 1000yds, okay. But a little over 100? No way. Someone should be hanging for treason.

But there was a report that the bystander was badly shot with exposed “brain matter” so it could have been a larger caliber.

5.56 at 100-150 yards would be a devastating head wound. The velocity is what makes it a nasty little round at those distances.

Training would have had him shoot center mass and not a moving head

Did not read this thread only original post and jumped to your comment and that was exactly what I thought. Your common deer hunter would make that shot 9 out of 10 times.

Guy was compromised and had an out to save his family or something along those lines. We will see social media posts about him being mentally unstable, then it will be blamed on Trump for “creating division”. Next will be tighter gun control.

It’s amazing! Biden and the democrats fall flat on their face multiple times, and here we are a week or two later.

A trained sniper with the right weapon can ear hole a shot at that distance with ease. I’m not taking DEVGzrU snipers either. Most SWAT snipers could do it

A moving head though? I just don’t think even the best sniper in the world would take on that task.

But I guess it is, I’m seeing dudes in here who can shoot a golf ball from a seemingly impossible distance, I didn’t even really think that was possible, but again, i don’t know shite.

lol. If you have a high powered AR built right, it’s essentially a sniper rifle.

I doubt this loser had that.

Sure, it’s an 18” faxon barrel with a ssa-e trigger and a Vortex Viper PST in moa. It usually has 10 round mags, and is hell on hogs.

But I am curious as to the difficulty of a 400 foot shot in the head with the intention of only injuring. Thoughts?
Impossible.

Slightly moving target (head), wind (which causes a bullet to drift left or right, but usually at longer distances), and they had just exerted themselves climbing on a roof.

He is. Don’t get that confused with your simply hating and dismissing and denouncing every single thing about Trump. 2A just so happens to be your weapon of choice in this situation. No pun intended.

The guys with their modded out AR's are going to dispute this.

I have two bone stock 5.56 Ruger ARs that my 16 year old could make that shot with open sights. Anyone who is remotely trained (read that as anyone who has shot a box of bullets or more) could make a 140 yard shot with an AR platform with no mods and a mediocre scope. Because you’re an idiot who is scared of guns, don’t project your feminism on the rest of us. Also, the comment you’re replying to is ridiculously stupid.

Yes. A really good sniper with the right gear would hit that target 10/10 from that short arse range.

A fat Antifa with a stock S&W MP15? Not so much

I sight mine at 25 yards. It puts me 1" high at 100 yards and a bullseye grouping at 200 yards.

Yep, I do not have to do much walking.

Somebody trained isn’t using an AR 15 for that shot
